looks like he might become a Mackem, shame, I think I’d be gone as well with the stick he took off certain idiots in the crowd.
The Everton goal still goes down in my top 5 Latics all time goals. But If he goes , thanks for the service Jordi, he will always be remembered at Wigan.
29 May 2014 at 1:16 pm #131524If he does go, I doubt whether any stick he’ll have taken off the Latics faithful will have had any bearing on his decision – he signed a 3 or 2 year extension whilst Bobby was still here, when he wasn’t a regular & he probably got more stick than he gets now.
What will make him move is the contract offered elsewhere as opposed to the pay cut that he’s undoubtedly been offered by Latics.
I agree with Latics offer (we can’t pay with money that isn’t there) & I completely understand Gomez’s decision if he takes the best money offered
29 May 2014 at 1:41 pm #131525Good luck to him, but it would be at rrible move in my opinion. Bruce’s style of play will not suit him.

Good point well made!
As I was saying, I think Poyet’s style of play will suit him….
29 May 2014 at 4:18 pm #131533I’ll be gutted
whenif he goes. Been a class act since Rosler took over, it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on at a higher level with the same level of endeavour he’s given over the past six months.cup winners doffed cap towards his goal at Everton; football poetry.
29 May 2014 at 4:53 pm #131534Hmmm if I was him I’d hold out for another club – I think their annual dice with death may final result in relegation next season.
very poor side and arguably the ficklest supporters in the country who will be screaming for a management change if they lose a couple of games.
he’s too good for them!30 May 2014 at 12:36 am #131538He has signed for Sunderland. Good luck Jordi & Thank you.

30 May 2014 at 12:47 am #131542Good luck Jordi
who will be the new scapegoat ?
30 May 2014 at 1:07 am #131543Well done to all of you clueless buggers that have ripped this lad to bits for the last 4 years, you have got your wish, he’s gone now.
Still the upside is, I can now watch a game in peace without nearly coming to blows with the PRICKS constantly hoping and praying he would make an error.
30 May 2014 at 1:08 am #131544They must surely go back to Watson or Caldwell.
30 May 2014 at 1:11 am #131545They must surely go back to Watson or Caldwell.Watson may be let off due to historic goal doings so it’s fair to say that Caldwell will get the brunt of it when he plays
LMB I hope that was aimed at a wider spectrum than a few on this board who did support Jordi

WHY would it be aimed at anyone who supported Gomez
30 May 2014 at 2:00 am #131547I for one wish him all the luck with his new team.
He had superb season for us, battling more than anyone to get us back in the prem.
Not too keen on Sunderland mind, but I’m sure he will prove to be a fans favourite up there.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!30 May 2014 at 2:09 am #131548Yep..he’ll do reet at Sunderland. He will stand out there ;)
He gave us about 20 minutes of dreaming, then believing, that another Cup final was about to happen, with plenty of help from Crainey!
