No problem. Maybe the al habsi howler, the Kone miss and the Gomez hat trick sent us all funny yesterday.
Roll on city. Lets just hope we can have the same argument after a Jonesy hat trick! Not that likely, but it would be a nice issue to write about.

Back to the topic, I have to say that gomez’s hat trick made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end, what stands on end when you get excited griff?

I’m curious as to whether the idiotic fans that boo and abuse Gomez jump up to cheer and celebrate his winner or do they just sit down and sulk? Do they not feel like hypocrites leaving the ground i.e. abusing a player and then celebrating his goals?
People are well entitled to show their frustration but there is something really horrible about booing your own player. It tells you an awful lot more about the abuser than the abused.
Great entertaining game but I would be worried about that defence against City on Wednesday.
Griff, feathers ruffled

Don’t know how after your one pint pre-match!26 November 2012 at 3:30 pm #97184I actually thought he was having a mixed day, some great touches, but got caught in possession numerous times. The 3 goals made up for that.
Does anyone know if he knocked the third one in with his left foot? I couldn’t see when everyone jumped up. If he did it’s the perfect hat trick, left foot, right foot header. goodpostThe guy is an enigma. Admittedly, no Gomez lover, too hit and miss. If anyone was to be taken off at half-time today then it was Gomez. Took him 15-20 minutes to get into the game (poor first touch, not up to pace of the game). Spurned a great opportunity.[/quote]
Spurned a great opportunity… That HE created himself.

Gomez: Proud to say I’ve never booed him. Might have tutted once or twice, but never booed him. I SUPPORT you see, not crucify.
26 November 2012 at 10:51 pm #97231Of course, young Griff won’t remember them, he’s more into One Direction.
