in my opinion gomez is been one of our better players over the past few games, yet there is a prat who sits behind me who cannot wait for him to do a bad pass or some other unsuccessful attempt during the game. yet, when he does something good or something comes off right he is quiet as hell.

I have a few characters right behind me who shout for him to be subbed from the off.
I agree with you, about him being one of our better players recently. If he is given the time to make the pass, he is a very capable player. Seemed to struggle against the teams that press the play. With a bit of confidence behind him now though, that could change. He has done really well. We actually look dangerous in the final third with Gomez in the team.
no, i moved over to the east stand this season after 12 years in the west – taking advantage of the £50 season ticket for my 6 year old son.
I think Gomez has been great recently and im a fully pledged rose tinted glasses wearing lightsider… However!
I thought there were a few panicked passes astray from Gomez last night something you can’t afford to do against top teams…
Putting those aside I thought he played well, Diame made some gud run’s McCarthy played well, Fig’s looked defensively solid :blink: and an overall good team performance!!!

Gomez pulled out of one 50/50 challenge but overall he as improved I feared the worst when watson came on he cant even get the ball at head height.
It’s always been obvious that the man has talent and his ability to dramatise the slightest nudge gets plenty of free kicks but I can sympathise with his knockers because his main problem is his lack of desire to get stuck in. The opposition players must know that when he is tracking them, they are safe. Last night he did actually get stuck in a few times, though I also thought the same thing when he pulled out of a committed tackle.
What you can’t argue with is that when he plays we generally do better than when he has not played.

‘I don’t hate him but he is never a Premiership player and he is not getting better the team is getting worse so he doesn’t look as bad.’

WS6 is full of moaners. End of last season I got involved in an arguement because someone was telling Di Santo he was crap…. Before he’d even gone on the pitch.
Luckily we have a really god atmosphere around us at the moment with people genuinely wanting us to do well and not getting on the backs of the players.

What did you want me to say he has been fucking useless in the last two games??? Well he hasn’t, is he contributing?? yes in his own way, is he good enough??? IMO no but he at the moment is doing his bit and the team are playing well.

But your previous comment was that he will never get better. You appear not to be able to make your mind up which is probably symptomatic of the fact that you don’t really know what you are talking about.
