Brilliant hat trick for York yesterday , the goals reminded me of Graham Jones at his best.

Look he’d get you goals at this level but Maloney doesn’t utilise forwards, he’s Martinesque wing men rushing full backs , attacking midfielder when at the end of the day for me you need at least one guy who knows his shit, gets in the right place and at the right time and forces it home.

Ian Rush made a career out of sniffing out a goal from nothing lurking in the box and his hattrick is exactly that right place right time. Currently we have fookin nobody like that.

Stones was and is a young lad who Maloney never gave a chance. I’ll always remember when we were losing at home and desperate for a goal and he brought in Sibbick and left Stones on the bench.
Maloney treated him like sh!t, he never gave him a chance and no wonder Stones struggled at Wigan when your tactics are dog fookin sh!t poor as Maloney’s.
I can see Stones going from strength to strength once he gets those minutes

        And us?

A couple of weeks ago York fans were getting on Stones back apparently. Questioning if he was good enough or not.

P### poor decision to sell. Raw talent who with our abundance of”so called” wingers could have developed into a good target man. His 2nd goal Saturday showed excellent ground control..his 3rd was a brilliant header….ball was virtually behind him but still managed to direct it in. He was ours,no freebie bollocks, no transfer fee required and would have been on Dansonesque peanuts. Needed game time, good coaching and confidence building. Instead he got F### all…..3 up ,1 sub left with 10 mins to go and STILL Maloney overlooked him. Can’t blame him for going, then again probably didn’t have much choice once we saw colour of their money.F####### laughable considering we couldn’t or wouldn’t source a striker in 2 windows .2nd half Saturday will bear no resemblance to Stockport game. No doubt another lucky dip 11…..Those that performed so well 2nd half probably sit 1st 60 minutes on bench. Don’t understand how some think our recruitment been anything but a joke !!!…The loan players are just that….perform well, shop window then snapped up by other clubs in summer. There was Stones!!…A rough diamond, cheap, hungry and a no lose bet. Kelman proved one that got away…..no world beater but scope was there but Maloneys system is a strikers crypt. Wouldn’t recognise a goalscorer if Ibrahimovic turned up at training. Good luck Josh.

Mr B, You hit the nail on the head with the ”coaching” comment, Maloney claimed a while ago on Wigan Today that ”it’s not down to him to develop players”

I couldn’t believe what I was reading, the guy is a fuckin’ joke!

              Fuck the EFL

I remember going over the bridge one night arguing with some f##kin bellend. Stones had come on for the last 10-15 a rare thing in itself after a poor team display and a guy in front of me pipes up to his m8:-

“That Stones ain’t good enough, he’s sh*t get rid,”
Now bare in mind he’d had 10-15 minutes in months, coupled with his age and the Martinez/Maloney out from the back tactics I had to pipe up and highlight my three points to him on which he shut straight up.

He’s probably the same person who said the exact same thing about Aasgaard when he first broke into the side who looked awful constantly giving the ball away and the same guy who slated Lang for been a so called headless chicken i.e. it’s called putting a shift in.

At the end of the day a player like Stones at such a young age needs an arm around, nurturing, slowly easing in with regular minutes here and there but we allowed him to go on the pretence he won’t get any better pound signs flashing.

I’m 1 million percent sure that any other manager would have developed him into a half decent player, world beater ? no but a huge asset to a goal starved side like ours.

I mean, what’s the fookin point of hunting out young lads if they don’t play for us and improve the team ?.
The young lad Millar will be the next were Danson cashes in before we get chance to play him and help us improve as a squad.
No, we prefer to develop other teams players make them far better players by “playing them” then send them back so they can sell on.

Unless we go up doing this how does their development help us financially??.

At the end of the day he’s gone. We will never know how he would have improved because his development at say a York to a Wigan to say a good Championship club would all be totally different and his career would take a different path.
His development will be based on been weaned into the starting 11, how he’s utilised on the pitch and an arm round.

Something Maloney, Wigan and Danson failed big time with the lad

And in the matter of Stones and young players development ?.
Some players peak early some in their teens look world beaters but they peak at a young age then struggle to push on when they hit their early to mid 20’s.
It’s down to the individual clubs development squads who are the key to (especially) lower league clubs.

I’ll always look at Reece James. One of the best players we’ve had at this club but too much too soon is already taking its toll on him and his career looks to be heading to the physios bench, Micheal Owen was the exact same.

In the case of Stones Maloney wasn’t prepared to put the time in with the lad he was probably needing far more work than others but the thing I feel he and the club missed was

He’s a forward who will in time get goals at this level.

I am sick to death hearing Latics fans say “We need a forward” or “We need a goalscorer” like there’s only fcukin us in this boat ffs.

So let’s hypothetically say there’s a guy in L1-L2 who up till Christmas or even summer has hit 15 goals please tell me how the fcukin hell we persuade him to come to us with no money, no ambition, low wages, and low crowds when there’s probably a 10-15 clubs knocking on the agents door ?.

Rain check guys rain check, even loanees who’ve scored a few wouldn’t.

This for me was all the more reason to give Stones more opportunities but as I pointed out, Maloney’s style made him leave and DansonDollar saw coin.

We need to develop a forward
                  Bring through
                  Give him chances
                  Score goals improve the team
                  Then sell
Not sell before they’ve been given a chance.
Clubs a joke full of false promises no direction all about Danson getting back what he paid then mark my fookin words now he removed the ground and he’s clawed back his outlay:-

SELL US FASTER THAN SH!T OFF A SHOVEL
