Is anyone else wondering whether we would be allowed to play this on Saturday 5th December. Just a thought!!
16 November 2015 at 12:10 am #145849Asked the question on Latics Twitter page last week, didn’t get a reply, but you’d have thought its worth considering if completion rules allow, easier for both set of fans
16 November 2015 at 12:52 am #145850I suspect not.
The fixtures are shown as being played in week commencing 7 December, so playing on the 5th would be outside that.Yes – I know, I know – but competition organisers tend to be as pedantic as I am about such things.
Still worth asking the question, I suppose, but I suspect I know the answer.
16 November 2015 at 11:55 am #145854I have arranged to go away for the weekend, so I hope not.
But I am guessing TV might play a part also
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

19 November 2015 at 12:52 pm #145870Perfect, was only talking about it this morning.
Should be a good crowd on and I would imagine Barnsley bringing a good few now (though that’s probably not the greatest thing)

TV companies are not involved so common sense prevails to the benefit of those who will actually attend the game.
19 November 2015 at 7:27 pm #145873Hopefully with such a gesture from the club all fans who can make it will be there. Could be possibly up to average league gate at those prices. Hope its a whopper and we can push on again to the area final with the help of the fans. We love Wembley. It’s our second home after New Springfield.

What we need is a pedants revolt
