Boselli goal on news, that isnt the strike and goal of a shit striker
16 January 2013 at 10:59 pm #100134It is the goal of a bloody awful one,he had to bang one in sometime goodpost
16 January 2013 at 11:03 pm #100135Well he’s been making a good impersonation of one for the last three years!
16 January 2013 at 11:07 pm #100136He’s not a shit striker however he is also not at premier league level.
16 January 2013 at 11:12 pm #100137Boselli goal on news, that isnt the strike and goal of a shit strikerThought the same aceface, but then thought Di Santo has scored some crackers as well.
Think Boselli is being harshly criticized on here. I still think given a decent run in the side he might prove a few people wrong?
…… Wait for it….16 January 2013 at 11:15 pm #100139That ship has sailed and is half way to south America.
17 January 2013 at 12:23 am #100142That ship has sailed and is half way to south America.if his departure during JAN transfer window can part fund a newcomer, a goalscorer (Becchio /Leeds, whoever ….. ), then hopefully, he’s about to disembark
his time has been and gone.
His replacement surely can’t be anymore GOALSHY
PL goals – Zero; attempts on goal / no. passes – not many more !!!!
Move on ….
17 January 2013 at 1:14 pm #100167Although he hasn’t done anything… I still don’t believe he has been given a ‘fair crack of the whip’ so to speak.. If it actually is a case of having to ‘adapt’ to the premier league, he DEFINITELY hasn’t been given enough gametime.
That being said it doesn’t look like they’re going to give him the chance, or not enough of one anyway, so would like to see a new Striker brought in even if it is at the expense of losing Bosselli. :pinch:

This Becchio thing is not going a way, is it? Always a bit of a gamble if they can transfer that Championship form to the Premier League

My sentiments exactly jamesc, Estudiantes obviously know how to play him cos he has a goal ration of 1 in 2 for them (or there abouts).
Talk Sport were on about Becchio coming to us this morning. Their comments were, he won’t get you many goals but will give it all in effort, is that what we need?

That sounds very familiar! Isn’t that EXACTLY what Di Santo does, and many strikers we have had before. (Scotland, Heskey to name two)..
In reponse to your question.. No, it isn’t what we need, it is something we already have, what we need to look for is a poacher that is realistically within our reach.. a bit like Earnshaw would have been in his day B)
17 January 2013 at 2:54 pm #100192It’s a shame the SPL experiment doesn’t seem to work because Billy McKay is banging them in for Inverness.

Am I wrong in thinking he’s got 19 in the worst side Leeds have had in the last few years?
Looks more like a goalscorer than a hard worker ever time I’ve seen him but then again so did Bosselli

We’ve seen it before though with players who get plenty in the championship but fail in the prem.
Don’t know what figures they are talking for him but worth a punt maybe? IMO we need more service from midfield with a splash of quality to the front men and we might start scoring more.17 January 2013 at 5:17 pm #100211Though admittedly it is a day late………..graeme jones walking through the market heading to argos with his wife.
