I am still crying at the comment “look at their crowds, how can they beat us with crowds that small”
I keep forgetting that the biggest crowds win, not the football team
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
29 January 2018 at 2:10 pm #165602I’ve seen it and thought I was hearing things, he certainly liked using the word but hey they just got beat 2 nil against a league 1 team, he was definitely wearing his heart on his sleeve, he’ll watch it back and say what the fcuk and I’m sure his mates down the pub will have a field day slating him or are all of them that ignorant.
29 January 2018 at 3:35 pm #165605Don’t think so. Most West Ham fans I spoke to both before and after were a great bunch. No sour grapes with us, just pissed of with their board and Moyes’s team selection.

If you can be bothered to watch this vlog from a neutral …. I think it is great, with some nice observations and some good clips of the game including Superman’s dash at goal.

30 January 2018 at 12:58 am #165644Really enjoyed that, she came over really well and it is as good a football vlog as I’ve seen.
Well done to the young lass.30 January 2018 at 3:19 pm #165670Don’t think so. Most West Ham fans I spoke to both before and after were a great bunch. No sour grapes with us, just pissed of with their board and Moyes’s team selection.I openly admit I have a soft spot for West Ham as a club. I’ve never had a problem with their fans, but like any other club, they will have their quota of Idiots. West Ham were a lot of peoples second club in the sixties, an attractive side with the likes of Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst.
The club of today though… Should never have left The Boleyn Ground. Their owners… Well, we all know them and know what they are. They have ruined a really good old, famous club.I laugh at any opposition who makes a big deal out of our lack of bums on seats. Does that win games? No. Look at Wembley in 99,Millwall had around 45000 behind them. We won one nil. I’d sooner get the result and have small support, than have masses of support and get beat. Having big support has got Newcastle and Everton a lot of success, hasn’t it? And Spurs haven’t actually won anything recently, either. Not to mention West Ham haven’t won one of the major trophies since 1980.
If you think about it, over the last 20 years, little Wigan Athletic have had success that many clubs with bigger supporter bases than us would kill for. We are Wigan, we know what we are, and where we are from. Let these bigger clubs think it’s all about having packed stadiums. It’s not.
It’s about what your team does on the pitch and if they can get the ball in the old onion bag, more times than the opposite team can. It’s that simple.30 January 2018 at 3:22 pm #165671The media will always determine the ‘size’ of a club by its crowd and history. Leeds are considered a big club for example despite not being in the top flight for over a decade and winning nothing for 2.

They were not docked points over the Tevez and Mascherano affair when the rules clearly stated they should have been. They were also given preferential treatment, which involved millions of tax-payer’s money, over the move to the Olympic Stadium when both Spurs and Leyton Orient lodged objections. The PL and FA turned a blind eye to their own rules which stipulate a club can only move into a new stadium if it “would not adversely affect clubs having their registered grounds in the immediate vicinity of the proposed location”. It can be argued that in Leyton Orient’s case this was particularly damaging and it is surely no coincidence that they lost their league status last season as a consequence of West Ham’s move.

I’m not saying I disagree with you, but they’ve been down and bounced back up since then. And this tenancy of London Stadium is starting to unravel, it’s now thought to be deemed an unethical agreement, regarding the financial side of the deal and the income to the local community isn’t what it should be. So West Ham moved our of their perfectly adequate and historic ground, to play in a stadium that lots of Hammers fans now say isn’t adequate. Why? Why did they move? Because their owners sold the ground and no doubt creamed off a tidy sum for themselves, whilst solving the home stadium problem by moving into the Olympic stadium as tenants. So they creamed off money from Upton Park, and didn’t have to spend money on building a new stadium.
I’m amazed they’ve got away with it, being honest. They’ve absolutely wrecked that club. Yes, they’ve some belling fans. But I feel sorry for the decent fans of West Ham United. Sold down the river and as long as them 3 remain at the helm, they’re buggered. My dad said to me at the game on Saturday “Imagine being him (Moyes) and having to work with them”. It’s true. I wouldn’t fancy that task.
