However, I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I have asked this question (and not had a worthwhile answer)
Why didnt we show the desire, passion, fight, commitment and skill to the same level in the first 25 games of the season
Go on then I will have a go…
Because Rome was not built in a day.
And neither was a football team within Wigan Athletic’s budget that can produce the sort of world class performance we did against Man Utd.
Does that give you the general jist or do I have to go in to more detail ball_bag_head?[/quote]
You may be getting carried away there my son with the ” World class ” bit !!
As for my views on sudden improvement, the inclusion of Maloney and RM realising that obstinacy is not the way forward !!

I disagree.
Barcelona , Athletic Bilbao and now Wigan Athletic have all applied the same principal’s to their game which allowed them to completely dominate for 90 minutes against IMO one of the best teams in the world.
If you cant call that a world class performance I dont know what you can…

And whose idea was it to sign Maloney in the first place, pray tell? The lad himself has said todya that he wasn’t fit enough for the premier league when he arrived.
You haven’t the first idea why Martinez – who sees the players day in, day out on the training ground – makes his selection choices, and neither do I think he is duty-bound to explain them to you, either.
And anyway, as someone else has pointed out, our improvement has been steady since the Blackburn game. Therefore, as Maloney only came into the team regularly less than a month ago he (Maloney) can hardly be given the credit for all the improvement, can he?

goodpost
I also agree with previous post, that you can class the victory over United as ‘world class’. The reason being, United have players in their ranks that you can quite easily call world class. Namely – Rooney, Giggs, Ferdinand, Nani, Valencia. These players took part in the game and we beat them convincingly and limited their contribution to effectively nothing worth mentioning. Based on that i feel world class performance can be used. in my opion of course…!
Any reason for using the derogatory / insulting term ball_bag_head
I reckon it might be because he thinks you’re a ball bag, might be wrong though, i was once before, about 12 years ago, i said it was going to rain heavy and it only drizzled, what do you reckon?
