11 April 2016 at 1:48 am #148005Always going to lose with the side we had out (10 of our first 17) but the lack of effort was appalling.
Latics would struggle without Jussi, Morgan, Pearce, Warnock, Daniels Perkins, Power, Morsy Wildschut and Grigg but you would at least expect the players that did play to show some passion.

Struggle? Bloody hell what an understatement, Wakefield scored 11 tries without reply that’s not struggling pal that’s a pasting.
Yes Latics may well “struggle” with the players you mentioned missing but i very much doubt we would get tonked 11-0 by Shrewsbury or Fleetwood, all we hear from the chubbies is how good the youngsters and the fringe players are and most of em could walk in to any SL team, obviously not!Arrogance is the problem at Wigan rugby but what do you expect when you have a coach like Wane.
Fuck the EFL
11 April 2016 at 3:02 pm #148018You can’t use a try to goal ratio as it doesn’t exactly work that way, but we made a few changes at Bury in the cup and lost 4-0 so who knows how we would do with 10 missing. Like I said, the lack of effort was appalling. The senior players just didn’t stand up at all.
Wigan’s academy players would get in most SL sides with the odd one here and there but they wouldn’t be able to compete as a team in SL which is essentially what happened yesterday.
11 April 2016 at 9:09 pm #148028This blows your theory out of the water Eggy!
Fuck the EFL
11 April 2016 at 9:18 pm #148030Go on…..you’ll have to explain that to me.
11 April 2016 at 9:26 pm #148031Go on…..you’ll have to explain that to me.Hull, who are battling to avoid finishing bottom of the Super 8s, are without 12 senior players through injury and coach Lee Radford, who has been able to name just 18 players in his initial squad, could hand Super League debuts to Masimbaashe Matongo and Ross Osborne in a team with an average age of 21.
Wigan, on the other hand, are virtually at full strength, with the return of winger Joe Burgess leaving only second rower Liam Farrell and centre Dan Sarginson on the sidelines.
Fuck the EFL
11 April 2016 at 9:36 pm #148032Ah right. Well it depends on who those 12 players are, and on that night Hull’s senior players stepped up which ours didn’t yesterday.
The 10 that we were missing would have started the game with the exception of Bateman who would have been on the bench so 10 from 17.
If Latics were missing Lee Nicholls, Andy Kellett, Tim Chow, Jack Hendry, Sanmi Odelusi, Louis Robles, Jordan Flores and Craig Davies then you could say we were missing 8 players but realistically none of them would play.
I’m not making excuses for the 62-0 scoreline because as I said we didn’t turn up and rolled over which is disappointing but we were always going to lose the game with the players we had out.
There is an interview on the Wigan site that apparently explains the issues we’ve had this week with injury/illness. 9 players out of a 27 man squad trained on Thursday.
