Moaning about their red card,
Same happened to the Tics at Oldham; with Flores getting red, after kicking out when he was downed with a foul. So sorry Mr Hill, those are the rules ! Anyway don’t mention the three penalty shouts that the Tics had: two clear handballs in the area plus what looked to be a trip on Coco as he turned in the box.
29 March 2016 at 2:12 am #147783Tickled me when someone called him a big fat ugly summut and he turned round and shouted back about 5 times “have you no mirrors in your house”.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!29 March 2016 at 2:45 am #147784He was also moaning in a interview that poor refereeing lost his side the game! :woohoo: :S
Fuck the EFL

2 shots on target but 6 overall compared to our 12 overall.
After our last three breathtaking performances at home against Peterborough,Bradford and Dale we will win this league in the style we are used to and it doesn’t matter what Keith Hill thinks about Refs.30 March 2016 at 1:44 am #147789I think the refs are rubbish ‘cos they appear to hate us!!
Not only that Donny …. I counted up 327 shots against Rochdale, most of them inch perfect crosses from either wing for Grigg to slot in ….. but he didn’t.
30 March 2016 at 1:06 pm #147790Im going to stick up for refs here.
Yes – during a game I will scream and shout, but when I put my rational head on referees are not biassed. Incompetent maybe. Miss things certainly. But actually biassed to one team or another – I don’t think so.
We have a professional set-up and more skilful players than other teams, who have the nous at times to draw fouls and make the most of it. Refs aren’t always conned as easily. We also are usually on the front foot this season, attacking more as we are the superior team. It’s defending teams who foul, not (in general) attacking dominant teams, so we get fouled more, or at least seem to be.
As I always said about players too, there’s a reason they play for Wigan and not Barcelona. So similarly there’s a reason our referees this season are refereeing League One and not in the Euros.
Without referees at all levels the game would not exist. They do a difficult job for virtually no praise but constant criticism. Tell them they haven’t done a good job, may disappoint them, but they’ll try to improve. Tell them they are a cheat, and they will get very angry.
And no, I am not, and have never been, a referee.

I wouldn’t disagree with any of this. I 100% agree that refs aren’t biased but they are prone to being intimidated and influenced. Whether that comes under the umbrella of incompetence is down to interpretation. Also, the amount of times when a ref makes a wrong decision then realises sometime after the incident and goes on to balance things up by giving something soft to the other side is uncanny. You just know if ‘they’ve’ had a borderline red card, ‘you’re’ gonna get one or something equivalent later in the game. I don’t like that and it happens a lot.
30 March 2016 at 8:40 pm #147792Got to admit they showed how impartial they were to Latics when we we’re first promoted to The Championship and sportingly continued this demonstration of complete impartiality during the eight Premiership years. Their neutrality shone over and over again.

Never once did I come away from a PL match and feel pissed off with a decision by a Premier League referee. Phil Dowd was a particular favourite of mine in the early days, I think Paul Jewell also was a fan of his.
30 March 2016 at 11:41 pm #147794Horc and Donny …… I’m with you. I have never thought the FA hated us so much that they sent out a pre-match briefing to the refs to say ‘if Rooney elbows McCarthy in the moosh, off the ball, ignore it’. Mike Riley had a file of letters from me!!!! The Refs were great. That Blackburn corner was in the rule book that night. It was ok!!
31 March 2016 at 1:51 am #147799I seem to remember one of our players getting sent off at Newcastle even though he was at least 2 yards away from their player and didn’t Valencia get sent off at OT or Anfield because he tried to gain an unfair advantage and encroached 6 inches at a free kick.
31 March 2016 at 1:53 am #147800What I don’t get is that Keith Hill was the fourth Official at Swindon. Conflict of interest?????
Isn’t he Rochdale’s manager??
Swindon Town v Wigan Athletic
ANDY DAVIES
Richard Martin and Matthew Buonassisi
Fourth Official Keith HillRead more at http://www.football-league.co.uk/news/article/2016/sky-bet-football…
And as for the sending off … I think Garlic just got too close.
31 March 2016 at 2:08 am #147801Speak to fans of other clubs and they will have the same opinion of refs even teams in the top 4.
