well been a while since I posted….thought I would share in these times of stress…

Seems to me that the key to our season is Alcaraz, our results seem to have picked up when Alcaraz returned and once he got injured on saturday we faltered.

I do think we are in serious trouble and just hope we can still be in with a chance after wembley…

come on bob, push on and get those points…

What’s the injury situation with Alcaraz ?

We just don’t need Alcaraz we need Kone to find his form again. Last few games he’s been abit off the boil to say the least, with the exception of the Maloney ball.

And can someone please tell me what was the point of the Henriquez loan ?, no wonder he said he doesn’t want another season here, pointless move.

Wigan dominated the second half at West Ham, even without Alcaraz. The bigger problem was indeed that we couldn’t score. It was hard to create chances and then harder still to beat Jussi Jääskeläinen.

Wigan let in a soft cross from Jarvis – who cost £10 million – in the first half that evaded defenders and forwards alike.

I assume that Martinez played both Alcaraz and Cardwell to combat the threat of Carroll – who cost Liverpool £35 million. West Ham did score again from a long ball to Carroll. Nolan – who cost £4 million – picked up his knock down and volleyed home.

I wouldn’t say Cardwell was greatly at fault. West Ham play for knock downs and on Saturday they were successful. Nolan is good at this – he has scored 100 goals.

Alcaraz has been a great asset, but Cardwell was voted Player of the Season last year.

Oops – should be Caldwell. Thank you!

Who’s Cardwell ? :cheer: The club needs to do everything it can to keep Alcaraz, we are a better side with him in it, whats the situation with his injury ?

            From Wigan Today;

The initial prognosis, pending further scans, is that he will be missing for between seven and 10 days – which would rule him out of the visit of Champions League-chasing Tottenham on Saturday.

And Roberto Martinez will be keeping his fingers crossed that Alcaraz was withdrawn from the action in the nick of time before he suffered any lasting damage.

Wasnt he only meant to be out for a few weeks last time.

Six months later he made his comeback.

As for Lopez he played against Macclesfield in the second half and did whatever injury it was again. Not been seen since has he ?

Lopez returned to the first team squad in time for the cup tie at Everton. He was in the squad for West Ham.

Alcaraz had a groin injury before. This time it’s apparently a hamstring injury.

              Watson is regaining fitness too.
