His back seems to have mended and he is back in training with Leicester.
With the rumours rife about the pole keeper from United making his way here, I feel that we might have seen the last of Kirky.
Is that Tomas Ksusack? Or whatever he’s called… I’d have him at Latics like a shot.
I really like Kirkland, and he’s a hero to my young son, who would be gutted if he went, but it looks like the end of the road for him at Latics, partly because of injury, and also I don’t get the feeling Bobby rates him.
If he does go, he can go with his head held high as he’s more than played his part in keeping us in the division.
Also I have heard today that Bolton are looking to sell Al Habso in Jan to cover some of their debt. I hope we can sign him as other Prem teams are also sniffing around him

What a journey!Well if we buy Al Habsi then do we buy the Utd keeper as well ? If so who would be 1st choice ? I am sure neither would want to be on the bench especially the Utd lad who would surely be coming for 1st team football ! Al Habsi on the other hand would feel he has established himself as the new No.1 at the club so what happens ??? We do need 2 fresh keepers whatever happens !

Course he is. Thats why Liverpool paid £6m for him as a teenager, he’s played for England, and has won our player of the year award. You’re dead right.
All in the past mate… Done nothing for the past 2 seasons… Infact hes been terrible. I like the guy but think the prem is no longer his level.
He’s had a slightly dodgy last 6 months, mainly caused by the pitiful excuse for a defence that he had to play behind.
Before that, all the evidence was that when he was fit to play, he was quality. I’d have taken him above the majority of the keepers in the Premier League 12 months ago.
But, his time may have come, and someone else will take his place, if not Al Habsi then A N Other journeyman mercenary foreign keeper.

he is right though, kirkland WAS a good keeper and he did not have a glass back when liverpool signed him, there again liverpool are not known for making shit signings are they.
