It has struck me that as Millwall got through last night, and play in a very dark blue kit, we as the designated away team will NOT be able to wear our black away strip.

I doubt we will be allowed to wear our home strip, so that leaves the third strip, which is red, and I don’t think we’ve actually won in it, have we?

I am thinking, will the club have to bring a new strip out for wembley? Something predominently white would do for me, or maybe a mad reversal of our away colours to give us a ‘Borussia Dortmund-esque’ strip?

We’ve wore the red one against Newcastle away but i’ve since been told that RM has asked that we dont wear it again as it is “unlucky”.

We aren’t considered the away team.

      14. CLUB COLOURS
a.Where the colours (shirts, shorts or stockings) of the two competing Clubs are similar (as determined by the Council), the Away Club must change.

In the Semi-Final and Final Ties a toss of a coin shall determine the choice of colours if a clash occurs. The toss of coin shall be made by a representative of The Association and shall be witnessed by the representatives of the Semi-Finalists and Finalists with the toss taking place at The Associations’ offices or another suitable location as soon as possible after the Sixth Round Proper or Semi-Final.

It can’t be anymore unlucky than the blue 1 . Only person unlucky is me paying 30 notes for my lads.

Somebody posted that Wigan would have the away dressing room, didn’t they?

I assumed the fans would have the away end and be restricted to the away pubs.

Assignment of the “away” dressing room is purely administrative matter for Wembley – someone has to have the one that England don’t use when they play, which is as near to the term “away dressing room” as you have.

Which pub anyone is allowed in is a policing matter.

I’m not sure there is an “away” end at Wembley. Obviously for an England game there is a designated area for visiting supporters, but there isn’t an “away” end as such.

The colours are covered in the snippet I posted from the FA’s rules.

already know the answer to this……the kit colours are still up for grabs, as explained above…….BUT because we were drawn out 2nd (we’d have been away if it wasn’t a neutral venue) the “home” team drawn, millwall, shall be designated the green man pub etc………..we shall have to drink elsewhere i’m afraid, you can try your luck getting in, but it’s heavily policed on match day and you’ll be turned away

i’ll be tuned in before reaching wembley anyway…….(saturday live on ESPN, teatime 17.15 pm kick off) you can all thank me later x

Personally I wouldn’t mind us playing in red for obvious reasons but I think we’ll play in blue.

Saying that, stroke of marketing genius to opt to play in red and shift a load of shirts with FA CUP SEMI FINAL embroidered on.

Interesting that a noted club official was at Wembley, yesterday.

I wouldn’t be trusted with anything as complex as tossing a coin.
