what has, happened to the progress, of the 2 young poles, theyve been here four years now, and are as far away from the, first team, as the day they arrived, in fact they cant even make a 7 man subs bench, this is alarming, considering 4 different managers, have failed to select them, they arent kids anymore, there in their twenties now, is it time to let them go, or give them a go in the 1st team squad, they seem to pick up good reports, at reserve team level, yet McCarthy, who is 3 year younger has overtaken them, in just 6 months, going back to a previous post i sent regarding the hole position, maybe gomez was signed to fill it, but in my opinion hasnt taken it,,he dwells too long on the ball, and his lack of pace is apparent.there could well be a player in there, but as of yet, I havent seen it enough, on a consistent level, maybe Martinez hasnt either,as hes found himself on the bench, more often than not,i just feel if Martinez is adamant enough to keep playing this system, we should have signed a top class player, to play in it, like I say, just my opinion.

You make some good points mate, but Jeez, how many commas?
I felt like I was doing bench presses reading that.
But, back to topic, I fully agree with the comments regarding Gomez.

Well, 2 obviously, but I don’t think it’s particularly PC to call Poles “commas” any longer; not since old Lech Walesa and the days of your glasnosts and perestroikas – or peremidfieldfers in this case
6 February 2010 at 2:22 am #21671The two polish kids tried to go on loan somewhere, but it didn’t fall through. At the momemnt, there in the reserves earning £8k a week EACH.
6 February 2010 at 2:25 am #21673I’ve watched them a few times this season and last season in the reserves and both look ready for at least a start on the bench.
Bobby usually puts 4 or 5 defenders on the bench and I can never understand why at least Cwyzka is not a regular bencher. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!6 February 2010 at 12:24 pm #21697I don’t know what the other fella earns but trust me Kupisz earns nothing like 8k a week, after signing his deal Kupisz sat crying for a while in disappointment, he wants to keep plugging away and get his chance with Wigan though.
6 February 2010 at 4:25 pm #21746Blueview why would he sit crying after signing a new deal? I think your information is wrong. He will most certainly not be on 8k per week I would agree but I bet he is on a dam sight more than most Polish players in the Polish comp.

Oh and Minerva…. Your post actually made me think of William Shatner :D :D7 February 2010 at 2:41 am #21873Cwyka was on the bench a couple of games back.
Also, we only had one defender on the bench today, but 3 strikers – irrespective of the result/their performace, that was good to see. -
