How can it be selfish to want the club to continue to survive for many years, at whatever level, rather than survive for a year or two more in the premiership and then go bust?

I think it’s YOU who is being selfish, wanting nothing but premiership football. We can’t continue at this level. Have you not read the financial report and seen the basic facts?

But no. The Premiership is all important, isn’t it?

        Sod off. Tosser.

Vat we get £40m in the Premier League our wages take roughly 90% of that agreed??? If we go down the parachute payments are half that I think??? So the wage bill may be slashed but so will our turnover from T.V and crowds so how the fook will we be better off???

Basic living conditions, and unpredictable showers.

What a classy comment to make

As for the rest of it, you need to learn to accept that just because you have changed your mind (again) that not everyone feels the same, not everyone agrees with you & just coz people don’t agree with you it doesn’t make them p’s & c’s.
Oh & just because you “think” something, it doesn’t necessarily make you right either

Read our financial breakdown, and see what we have to do to survive…….
And anyway, we go down, perhaps we’ll win more games? You might enjoy it more.
‘this knob’ is our manager, and is a gentleman. I would rather he wasn’t referred to in such a way. Who do you think would come in and replace him? And do you think it would make a big difference now anyway? Because I don’t. Our fate is as much in the hands of other clubs, as it is us. I’m not being funny saying this, honestly. I’m not 100% happy with what our manager has done, sometimes he’s puzzled me, and I’d like us to mix our playing style up a bit. But our chairman has made it clear he’s the man, and so be it. Perhaps we have to take a step back, to take a step forward. Maybe a ‘staleness’ has set into our club? If we go down, and I really think we will (along with Blackpool, actually) I would just say to you and anybody else “get behind the manager and the lads from the start of next season, and with a pretty much fresh and hungry team, let’s see what we can do”.

The payments are paid over 4 seasons. The first seson is 20 million, the second is 15 million, third is 10 million, and the fourth is 5 million. (provided we don’t get promoted back up again)

We sell something like 4 or 5 players for a total of around, say, 30 million, and at the same time cut the wage bill drastically.

Basically, it cuts our debt by a lot on the grand scale of things, and makes us a lot more secure. As for tv rights, we’ve not exactly been on much this season, have we? We might end up on TV more, if we are a top 6 Championship side, playing the likes of Forest and Leeds in big promotion games.

Rather than stay up by the skin of our teeth, struggle like mad again, get ridiculed over even worse crowds, and end up in financial dire straits. (and no, I don’t want my MTV  )
