The new Women’s Super League will be launched this Monday at Wembley Stadium, marking the beginning of the ‘year of women’s football’.
The launch will see the league officially announced to the football world before current Premier League holders Arsenal Ladies travel to face Chelsea next Wednesday, bringing semi-professional football to the women’s game for the very first time.
The following clubs have agreed two year licences for the 2011 and 2012 seasons: Arsenal Ladies FC, Birmingham City Ladies FC, Bristol Academy Women’s FC, Chelsea Ladies FC, Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies FC, Everton Ladies FC, Lincoln Ladies FC and Liverpool Ladies FC
The best one for me is Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies FC. By including the word ‘Belles’ in there, is it not building them for a huge fall and setting a first time spectator up for a massive disappointment?
Phil, you’d only moan that the big two up front weren’t good enough
Yeah but I reckon they would be a right handful and so therefore I would be fully satisfied ![/quote]
This thread is just short of a Sid James post and the transformation from football topic to Carry On film script will be complete.
