So out of all this madness I find this transfer move to be one of the strangest and craziest decisions we’ve made.
With probably a week to go to know which Division and if anyone’s brave enough to take us on we decide to stick Lang out on loan.
Let’s say we do go down and new owners step in the vast majority of the 1st team will be gone. Players like Lang would be desperately needed like back in the day of Newell Jewell, all the young lads would called upon.
He’s near 22 years of age not 16 so wouldn’t it have been a good idea just for the admin team to hang on a week or so to see how it all pans out and if instant cash is needed then sell a big ticket player like Moore or Geldhart.I get the admin guys are in the house (and you can tell non are fcukin football savvy) because loaning out players and for 12 months before we know our future is an utter shite decision.
I get it if he’s sold to pay bills, I also get it if he’s on huge wages, but he not in comparison to Garner Fox Pilkington Marshall who, I would be loaning or unloading right now.
In one weeks time fine, now ? Stupidity he makes them zero and saves them very little
Bellend decision
30 July 2020 at 2:09 pm #188305Does seem a strange one. Maybe there’s a fee involved or a recall if we need him
30 July 2020 at 3:16 pm #188306We need the money more egg, and it’s obvious he wont play in the first team so just sell him. Its weird this one.
30 July 2020 at 4:16 pm #188307Still dont get it, in a weeks time everything will be a dam site clearer
30 July 2020 at 4:54 pm #188308Maybe nobody wants to buy him? Maybe its a loan (gets him off the books no matter how small a wage) with a perm move at the end.
It seems strange I agree, but hopefully it means we benefit from him in a few years as opposed to Weir and Devine moving on.
30 July 2020 at 6:34 pm #188309If we win the appeal and stay in the Championship then it is the right decision because he isn’t ready for the Championship yet. If we do go down, he would be an asset in League One and could be great up front with Joe Garner if Moore and Lowe leave.
It is possible we have put a clause in there to say his loan would end if we go down, who knows wtf is going on at the moment.31 July 2020 at 6:55 am #188314Exactly my point, why not wait a few days and a clause ? pure speculation. What is fact is, he has signed a 12 month deal.
Explain to me,
So there is a clause, we do down new owners hopefully step in they recall him a month later. What was the whole point of that ?, delay any move till at least after the hearing. We are shifting out players we will need. Moore wont be here regardless
Admin guys are not football chairmen
31 July 2020 at 11:38 am #188319Whilst he’s out on loan he is off the wage bill. Simple as that. More will probably follow either permanently or on loan.
31 July 2020 at 3:45 pm #188323Geldhart for £1 million a player who was prepared to sign a long term deal and possible far bigger sell on fee
or
Windass for £1 million a player on far bigger wages and doesnt want to be here?
Whoever’s doing the “Who goes next” list to balance the books needs stop smoking that sh1t
31 July 2020 at 5:06 pm #188325If the news is true that Geldhardt leaving for 1 million then that just about caps it all. Probably one of English footballs potentially most talented youths and we giving him away. The Brum lad goes 25 mill plus and Geldhardt allegedly on a par with him so what the f@@@ is going on ? Don’t know the finer details but the administration team said no one going below market value….so who’s to blame?…Did we not have him contractually tied down? Or are we so screwed we’d sell the family silver for pence ? Just pray today brings good news .
31 July 2020 at 5:17 pm #188326We are in admin ffs, anyone remember how we got Victor Moses?
Fuck the EFL
31 July 2020 at 5:31 pm #188327Really???….I must of missed that…..1 million ???? Clubs best asset….
31 July 2020 at 5:57 pm #188329We are in admin ffs, anyone remember how we got Victor Moses?
Admin or no admin Joe is worth well in excess of £1M. We paid £2.5M for Victor Moses and that was over 10 years ago Norm.
31 July 2020 at 6:06 pm #188330And this admin selling our assets?…
What a crock of shit this statement is from them
4. Player salesThe joint administrators are continuing to consider offers for players in order to reduce the substantial wage bill and to benefit the football creditors who are estimated to be owed in the region of £6m. This is deemed crucial to the successful sale of the club.
If its wages they are concerned about the difference between Geldhart and Moore is roughly 17k a week.
Never a truer word spoken:Club owner claims Leeds set to sign player ‘below market value’, calls for change from EFL
We so called have owners queueing up at the door while the admin flog prizes assets for peanuts.
I would fcuk us right off selling stock for nothing. At the end of the day, without players and players to work on your worth bollocks31 July 2020 at 6:24 pm #188331And how do we pay the players with no money coming in you utter retard?
I’d like to hear your nonsense bullshit if thry all left for free because they hadn’t been paid
