Boarded a plane today in Newark (New York) flying to Cleveland (Ohio). Bloke sat next to me was watching Fox Soccer on the in flight TV service. Arsenal v Latics! Full game and he’d paid $5.99 for the privilege.

Off topic….a little, however, cop a load of this film (a little like ‘Super’ but gets the message across…..
not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’…….but shows what’s coming our way (if it’s not already here).

Just judging by the cover, I reckon it’s already here.
Mind you, it’s not representative of the America, or Americans that I know.

…..is, I suppose, what most do.
Watch the film……it’s a parody (look it up sir) and something….in my humble opinion….we must look forward to in the future (if it’s not already here – in the pubs, car parks, shops etc).
……and it is….. representative of the Americans I have worked with in the past and the despair they feel.
Edit:…..it is no Oscar winner….in the words of Jim Bowen –

Not very nice Micky. There’s no need to assume you’re the only one with a reasonable vocabulary on here.
You see, the Americans I know are mainly in Minneapolis. Americans have a saying for this part of the world – ‘Minnesota Nice’. I hope that’s self explanatory, but if not, well…you could always look it up.
I may well watch it someday,, but in the few minutes I had after reading your post my only option was to go on my first impression of the image you posted.

Mr Northern….”Not very Nice Micky”….etc….is an insult to other posters on here. I never ‘assume’ anything. There are Teachers, Businessmen, ‘retired’ executive officers, bloggers, writers, administrators….need I go on – but you single me for the ‘cute’ vocabulary.
Cut to the chase here fella……and I like you…..the bit about:
“You see, the Americans I know are mainly in Minneapolis”
Now the population of Minneapolis is about 386,000 people….as opposed to the population of the USA …..errrrmmm! 311,591,917.
We could use the saying for our part of the world “Wigan Nice”….I hope that’s self explanatory.
Mr Northern… great supporter of the club. I have no gripe sir.
I will respond in a day or so. I have a car collecting me in a few hours taking me to the airport and then I’m off to visit a city with around 386,000 or so people in it ;) and need some sleep.
Gonna miss the game tomorrow, but at least the mortgage will get paid.
Actually, I have to pick up on one point…Wigan Nice?
