Lawrenson was on earlier doing his predictions. When it came to our game, he predicted a home win but said he was particularly interested in the attendance for this game.
Are we expecting a record low or something?

ask him why the crowd is relevant to his predictions of the score
30 April 2010 at 10:38 pm #31424Probably becaue he thinks the 5k attendance for the FA Cup game with Hull is the norm for a fixture between the two clubs
Afterall, he’s a well informed journalist and all that.

Prediction: 2-1, and possibly not the biggest crowd of the day.
30 April 2010 at 11:12 pm #31433Strikes me as an accurate prediction actually.
A win for us – and it won’t be the biggest attendance of the day.
1 May 2010 at 1:10 am #31436There’s nothing wrong with the content, it’s the context, and seems to be a matter of course for the BBC.
It doesn’t really matter, but more should be expected from the national broadcaster.
1 May 2010 at 4:44 am #31444from the bbc match preview.
A measly 5,335 fans saw Wigan beat Hull in the FA Cup four months ago and it is hard to believe the crowd will be much bigger on Monday afternoon.
A few weeks ago it looked like there could be a lot riding on this fixture but Hull booked the third and final relegation spot last week, after Wigan’s tremendous win over Arsenal had taken them clear of danger.
Hull, whose two-year stay in the top flight ends with a home match against Liverpool next week, have denied reports that they will go into administration after building up debts of around £35 million.
Those hardy Hull fans making their way to the DW Stadium on Monday must be wondering where it all went so wrong. The famous wins at Arsenal and Tottenham last season, which took Hull up to third in the table, must seem like 19 years ago rather than 19 months.

1 May 2010 at 1:16 pm #31449How does this bloke stay in work ?
He isn’t funny but thinks he is. He is never up to date with what’s happening. He has no background info that the average fan doesn’t have. What’s he for ?1 May 2010 at 1:36 pm #31450Takes an awful lot of research to work out that if we’ve got 12,000 season ticket holders, the crowd for a league game is hardly likely to be lower
Obviously that is beyond the likes of Lawrenson
1 May 2010 at 4:46 pm #31465He’s a Preston mon, says it all really. They just love any excuse to belittle us. Makes it all the sweeter when we beat their favourites.
1 May 2010 at 5:10 pm #31468If we were to add up his predictions for the season, how many points would we have by now? Seven, eight?
If I hear him say ‘you never know which Wigan team will turn up’, I’m going to declare my own fatwa against him.
1 May 2010 at 6:39 pm #31474To be fair the quote from amigo is from the match preview on the bbc, I don’t know whether Lawrenson does those, I doubt it. Still doesn’t make it alright like…
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
