I am always invigorated by the self-righteous. Those that regale us with their bu115it opinions as if it’s “a given” and we must bow down. If we lose tomorrow then so be it, however, on our day we too can produce a massive “team effort”………………ermmm called me old fashioned but wasn’t it 3-1 at our place?

Wasn’t doubting that he might be right, just the manner in which he does it. He is supposed to be a football punter not another pishing Rodney Marsh. There’s ways of putting your point over without sounding a complete toss_er. You never hear Jamie Redknapp coming out with comments like that even though he to thought chelsea would win easy today.

What a journey!If we continue to give tv pundits ammunition like today’s performance then we can expect nothing less. It really is that simple ! You cant get away from the fact that we are a laughing stock punching above our weight and if anyone thinks differently then they really are deluded ! The popular riposte seems to be the now very trite ” Yeah but we beat Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool “. Well when one analyzes the whole picture and our finishing league position with an atrocious goal difference, then one has to think we were very lucky not to go down and if we hadn’t of beat the aforementioned we would have gone down !

Pundits like Lawrenson and Merson say similar things week in, week out.
They have a good laugh when they are correct, but don’t give the credit when it’s due.
Sky used to have pundits like McLintock and Law, now they have Merson and Le Tissier!
The only one I’d give the time of day to is Alan McInally.
