“I did not get why Wigan rested so many players against Notts County in the FA Cup. Why not just get yourself into the fifth round of the competition? I know the Premier League is a massive deal, but could the players not have dealt with playing on Tuesday and Saturday? I don’t get that decision. ”
I think he’s confusing “resting players” (which is done by the manager) with “players having a rest” (which was what the players did). ;)
