Who do I vote for?
Nobody.

My opinion of the immigration problems is that for a tiny country of our size, we really needed to be stricter with the credentials for entry in the first place. There have been far too many Polish, Czech, etc students and young people, simply here on the make, who are no more qualified, if not less qualified, that our own young un’s. We’re a tiny country, and they messed up by letting all and sundry in. It’s NOT the foreigners fault. They’ve been allowed to do it.
I believe that stricter criteria is now implemented. It’s a bit late.

Who are you to say who should be banned, that job belongs to the moderators, If i was a moderator i would ban you, you have turned a decent thread into cyber war,
and no i have not thought about applying for the job as a glass collector at the griffin, i would get taxed too much and i have a few foreigners lined up anyway :) :D :lol:

The problem with mutty is that he does not live in the real world, no disrespect intended but when you are in the forces you don’t have your finger on the pulse when it comes to local employers preferring to take on foreign workers over local workers. No disrespect to any poles but we should put our own people first, put some young lad on the scrap heap now and the chances are that’s the way he spend the rest of his life! and that is not good for the country.

I’m going off on one, here…….
Was at a fair a few weeks back and actually had the Paras trying to recruit me! Yes, honestly. I couldn’t believe it.
Para (Maroon Beret, Wings, et al): “Fancy joining the Paras, the pride of the British Army?”
Me: “What? Me, I’m almost 33, too old, overweight, and not fit enough.”
Para: “We’ll take you at your age, and we can work on your weight and fitness”. He was deadly serious.
I went away with a load of brochures and literature. But there is no way. People will perhaps not agree with my next statement, but why should I join up, to be shipped out as ‘cannon-fodder’ to a conflict that I, (A) do not agree with (Both Iraq and Afghanistan) and (B) as a father of two small children, I think that to put myself in so much risk and danger is to do them a great ‘dis-service’. (I honestly feel that)
I think we should have special ‘Discipline Regiments’, made up of young offenders (18-20) and other people who have been in prison. This would (A) give them an option of a different life and a chance to get disciplined and change their ways, and (B) it would save on the cost of housing them in prisons.
I think the majority would end up as changed characters.
i reckon yer reet again theya vat, with regard to young offenders.probably just what some of them need, a bit of direction. If there big enough to walk round the streets with guns and knives and assaulting folk there big enough go over there.
I have never thought about joining the army, but recently have considered it because there is just no work out there in the building game wich is all i have ever done really, and even went down to their office near bus station came away with DVD and info, I am going to give it a few more months but if nowt crops up soon i MIGHT take it further i don’t know, I have no nippers and come out of a serious relationship a few months ago, so nothing realy keaping me here apart from family, friends and wigan athletic, But just don’t reckon i could cope in the army, not fit enough and probably not got mental strength either.
I wonder how many people have signed up due to unempolyment, i can’t be the only person to have thought about it
