Not too shabby at all
All the darksiders should note the fantastic overhaul from top to bottom Martinez has done to this club…
Do you think old bent nose had the same policies? no he wanted a good season or two before he could move on to “better things” …
3 November 2011 at 5:27 pm #73397Griff that was a right foot shot from the left wing re: your title…
or am I missing something :S ?
3 November 2011 at 5:33 pm #73398Get him against Wolves. We could do with some tomahawk bombazoes !!
3 November 2011 at 5:39 pm #73400I went to the game on Tuesday afternoon and he came on in the second half. He looked very good – at that level. Some very good touches. Fair enough Newcastle had Alan Smith and Tamas Kadar in their team as well as Shola Ameobi’s brother, but still it was Reserves.
He’s definitely one for the future, but I’m not sure about “bring him in against Wolves”.
3 November 2011 at 5:40 pm #73401Griff that was a right foot shot from the left wing re: your title…or am I missing something :S ?
You’re probably not, no. I had to think of something to put in the subject field and my creaive juices simply weren’t flowing.
I know it was a right foot shot from the left, but the general point was he was following the scandalous Martinez-backed policy of cutting in from the wing and rattling one in the top corner rather than getting to the bye line and crossing the ball to our non-existant Bob Latchford-esque striker.

……speaking as someone fresh out of that very classroom.
Touching, sir, I’d forgotten how easy it was to get right under someones skin. ;)
4 November 2011 at 3:29 am #73429Listen,I will be right behind the team ( always am ) but if we don’t get at least 4pts from the next 2 games then there will be some serious flak for Bob !
4 November 2011 at 12:58 pm #73433Pat Gavin once scored from a shot (if I remember right) from just inside the centre circle of the opposition half – He was still $h!te though!! ;)
A certain Bongsmon will be 4th official for the reserve’s game at Liverpool in a month so they should get to see this Cruyff fella at close quarters!
According to our Bobby, young Cruyff should be ready for the first team in 2 or 3 years
