it may be a little premature but with burnley 0-2 down v the scousers i think it is pretty much safe to say this.
congradulations to roberto martinez on keeping us in the premier league for another season.
i dont agree with his tactics or the dogmatic way he sets his team up but what the hell do i know.
well done

25 April 2010 at 7:52 pm #30662Fair play fella, sorry his football and tactics ain’t to your liking
The manager does to talk of a long term plan and here’s hoping the summer and next season will see it continue to come together
Bottom line is I don’t care how many points we get or who we get them against, staying in this league, hopefully for another 6 or 16 years will mean that a whole generation will come through growing up with Wigan Athletic as a top flight outfit. If we grow the crowds to 20,000+ over the next few years, it will build the long term support and stability the club needs to remain a dominant force in the town and in football despite certain people in the town constantly wanting our demise….
25 April 2010 at 8:05 pm #30670Well done Bobby. You have kept us up despite:-
1) Through no fault of your own having hardly any time to do any pre season business in the transfer market.
2) Losing arguably, our most influential player just weeks before the start of the season.
3) Having some of your best players distracted through the attention of other teams trying to sign them.
4) Being left a pish poor squad by the previous manager.
5) Attempting to play football the right way even though you know many of the players are not up to it.
6) Having, its got to be said, some of the worst decisions go against us and not having the luck go our way that some of our performances have deservedAnd to all the posters on here who have said from day one we would get relegated and in many cases have talked as though they wanted him to fail. To all those people and you know who you are;-
