My thoughts entirely.
All those chances it should have been at least 10-0
Seriously though, what a start to the festive fixtures…can’t wait till Tuesday….bring on Shrewsbury B)
23 December 2017 at 9:00 pm #164456What a victory!
A new club record win, as 7 nil beats the 7-1 win against Scarborough in 96-97 season, at Springfield Park.
Congratulations, lads. Makes for a wonderful Christmas present, especially for those who travelled today.
Cracking the baileys open tonight and toasting the lads. Well done! Lets beat Shrewsbury now on Boxing Day.

24 December 2017 at 1:10 pm #164475Didn’t know it was a record, thanks vat.
24 December 2017 at 1:45 pm #164479Didn’t know it was a record, thanks vat.Indeed it is dnr. Our first record win was versus scunthorpe when we recorded a 2 – 7 win. Not sure of the season (early 80’s without checking google), followed by the 7 – 1 win in the 96/97 season as vat mentioned.

I was at the Scunny game a certain Ian Botham played at the old show ground.
24 December 2017 at 2:45 pm #164482I remembered the scunny score and the botham appearance’s but the Scarborough one had bypassed me. We have great momentum at the moment, it is one of the best things you can have in football you see it with city at the mo and we are the same in our league. You also feel it in individual games sometimes, it is something the other team cant stop. Long may it continue.

24 December 2017 at 4:15 pm #164485Wondrous result, a Christmas cracker!
24 December 2017 at 6:30 pm #164486This was an incredible result against a pretty decent side.
Our young chairman gets stick from some but much of this, this time is down to him. Prising Cook away from Portsmouth after clearing out the debris of a disaster that created last season’s mess for starters. Then keeping the best of what we had at the last window is working a treat. Our spine of Burn Powell Jacobs Grigg are outstanding. Paul Cook has brought back Byrne and James too and and added Evans who improves all the time and Cook has done this season what we have screamed for and that’s keep the nucleus of the team together and replacing like for like if needed. This consistency is paying dividends.
90-100 points is in our reach. Well done everyone. -
