its only me calling for his head
oh and btw i stopped until the end yesterday but i envy those who were first to the bar in sams ‘ant’ brick.
and for your info ive been calling for his head since the wolves game and that didnt stop during the ‘giant killing cup type win’ over chelsea, because our battles this season are with teams in the relegation dogfight and to date we are sitting bottom of the table with a record of
P – 5, W – 1, D – 0 , L – 4 , For 5, Against 11, Goal Diff – 6

worse mate i have held back my true feelings on here ;)
To be honest, going off the other sites as well, I get the feeling that a lot of those who were defending him a week or two ago, have now had a change of opinion, and are now saying we are in trouble.
Of course, you get the odd couple who come on here and don’t like to accept that things are dire.
You have to question exactly how much of a fan they are, because for any genuine fan, the current situation is not good at all. Far too many have been ‘bought’ by the ‘club legend making his return’ rubbish. I think that was Whelan’s ploy all along. We had warning signs last season in the run in that we were not good enough (that was relegation form, actually) and to think that things could be turned around with the signings we made was optimistic, to say the least. No real quality signings, and a reliance on players signed from a mid-table Championship side was always going to be a long shot. Add the fact that we sold Valencia and Cattermole from lasts seasons side, and it’s no surprise really that we are struggling. Unless something major is done this transfer window (I won’t hold my breath) I don’t think we’ll get out of it. Roberto’s been told he will NOT be sacked, even if we get relegated. But if he thinks that this squad, or one enhanced with a couple of ‘cheapo’ signings will be good enough, then he is mistaken.
I can see a few more heavy defeats, during the course of the season, as well.
“You can’t polish a turd”, or so they say. Well……..

I’m not.
Judging by the mass hysteria on here, I bet the message boards of Everton, Hull, West Ham, Wolverhampton, Bolton and Portsmouth have round the clock Samaritan’s staff acting as moderators.
Chill, people. If we have the same squad and points tally at the end of January, I’ll join you in the lifeboats. Until then – have a great Christmas
Griff, do you honestly not think we are in trouble, with the way that we are playing? I have you down as an intelligent bloke to be honest, so it surprises me a bit.
The next home game V Bolton will say a lot for me. They are really poor, so perhaps we will see how good or how bad, we actually are.
Chatting amongst the blokes around us yesterday, we were saying what points we expect between yesterday and January 1st. At 3.45, we were saying 9 points. (yesterday, Bolton, and Blackburn games).
By 4.35 we had gone down to 6 points, and by the end of the game we were talking more like 3 points! You cannot see us getting much on the road. Stoke will outbattle us, Liverpool will outplay us, United will probably score their obilgatory 4 (without breaking sweat), so those two home games V Bolton and Blackburn are so important.
We’ll see. 6 points would be great, but I would settle for 3 now.

In trouble? I had us down for being relegated about 4 seasons back, so I’m very relaxed about the situation. Bobby said himself this week (before the game) that we need 4 new players. So let’s see if they come and who they are in January. There’s nowt we can do before then except sack the manager and that won’t happen.
As a wise man once said to me – worrying doesn’t alter the outcome.
