About as relevant as voting who should be evicted from Big Brother :roll:
A big for, I don’t know why everybody is against him. If you had been there from the days when we were getting 500 on at Springfield Park, nearly going of of existance with all of the other jokers who have tried to take the club forward – Bill Kenyon anyone? I think that you would have a different opinion of how the club is being run today. We are not in a position such as Portsmouth or West Ham whom need to sell their players in order to brush away the fear of administration. We are selling the players because they simply want to leave Wigan Athletic. Why else would Bobby and Dave be vehement in their stance saying that players such as Cattermole are not for sale and then all of a sudden they have to leave?
The fact of the matter is that Dave Whelan has taken us up three leagues in his tenure as the Chairman and we just missed out on Europe, love him or hate him you have to respect him for this. I think we should concentrate less on the way the club is run, in fear of turning into Newcastle fans and concentrate our efforts on supporting the lads on the pitch, whoever the hell they are.

Whelan has proved that a rich benefactor can take a two-bit nothing club from the bottom rung to the top tier of english football.
Unfortunately, it takes either a seriously rich benefactor (which he isnt), or a massive increase in revenue via ticket sales & merchandise (which clearly isnt going to happen) to stay there and become a regular top half side. Unfortunately for you, thats where the brick wall is. Whelan isnt a billionaire and these days, a club with only 12000 supporters needs a billionaire pumping in £50-100m per season to realise that dream.

You obviously didn’t read the title of the thread ” Lets get a ROUGH idea ” ! Also the usual suspects couldnt quite grasp the request for ONE WORD answers ! If anyone doesn’t think there is a point to this then it really is this simple….” DONT RESPOND ” Rocket science doesn’t even come into it ! Whelan isn’t likely to be usurped by a tongue in cheek poll or driven out because someone on a forum wanted a ROUGH idea as to which side of the fence its members are sitting !
