I’ve woke this morning slightly optimistic about this evenings game. With Cleverley back, Moses hitting some much needed form; I think we can actually get something from today. If you consider City current situation: captain suspended for failed drugs test, premierleague title now out of there grasp, one eye on European knockout stages and another eye on securing champions league position. Maybe today we could just perform a quarterback sneak manoeuvre and slip in the back door with a cheeky little solid performance.
I would drop Watson for cleverly and play Charlie , Diame, Thomas, Moses and mcCarthey with Di Santo up top.

Di Santo up top? Could be where the plan falls down
5 March 2011 at 12:50 pm #61300I would have Watson, McArthur and Rodalegga in there instead of Diame, Thomas and Di Santo.
5 March 2011 at 1:57 pm #61306I,ll be happy if they put the effort in and show a bit of spirit. We may not be able to outplay Citeh but we can match them by trying to outfight them. Just play for 90 mins and put a shift in boys its all we ask.

5 March 2011 at 4:31 pm #61317Think Thomas over mcarthur simply in physical presence. Thomas would give us a bit of muscle against their physical midfield. Think it could be a good game tonight. One for the scrap book!!

5 March 2011 at 11:01 pm #61324A very poor game IMHO. One side who looked pretty with the ball, but couldn’t penetrate their way through a tissue, against another who looked like they’d just been introduced to each other at kick-off.
Its a shame that a howler decided it, particularly from arguably the player of the season so far.

One young side that cost less than £10 mill against a team that cost more than the Grand Arcade

Was quite impressed with Latics today. Shocking goal but when your at the bottom football goes that way sometimes.
Defensively we looked alot more assured and gave the ball away far less than normal. We seemed to pass the ball well and penetrated their defence better than normal with good chances from Alcatraz, McCarthy, Rodallega and the best one for Connor Sammon who looked really sharp.
Might have been nice to see Moses and N’Zogbia on the pitch at the same time but wonder if its too much of a risk defensively. Could have definitely secured a draw today though.

5 March 2011 at 11:30 pm #61328We’re too good to go down us!
5 March 2011 at 11:53 pm #61330In total how many goals has al habsi been at fault for now?
6 March 2011 at 12:28 am #61334A decent performance, in general, but no points/goals and that’s what we need at this stage of the season more than ever. Having someone who could score goals would be nice.
