Talk of a big turnout getting behind Lee Bowyer and his boys who need a win to secure the play off place. General attitude is “we must not lose on Saturday”….that’ll do for us!

27 April 2018 at 12:41 pm #168577So now you’re liking the fact that non-regular attendees are turning up for a big, important, one off match?
27 April 2018 at 1:09 pm #168579Charlton fans have had good reason to boycott games this season (and last) , due to the owners and the shambles behind their club. There is a very welcome takeover on the cards, but it’s based on if they get promoted or not. So fans who have stayed away will go tomorrow, because a win, or even a point, might be enough to secure a play off place. Which is great because we don’t want their opponents to win. So probably the best opposition we could have them playing, really.
As opposed to Wiganers who are apathetic to their own town club all season, until its a glamour match against Premier League stars, or a game where the club can win something, and they can bask in the glory, giving it the big one. Our away supporters who travel allover are superb supporters, as are the regular 8000 or so home supporters. The cling ons and glory hunters are tossers.

Because they’re nursing hangovers after Tuesday?
27 April 2018 at 7:24 pm #168591Hope he does. Don’t fancy it going to the last week.
27 April 2018 at 8:06 pm #168595There is no way they will be resting players. The mere suggestion they will, is utterly ridiculous. We both have cup final scenario’s.
Hope Charlton go for it, they need to. Scunthorpe away at MK dons, you’d fancy them. And Plymouth at home to Rotherham who have already secured their play off spot, so can afford to rest players for the play offs. Doesn’t matter to us now, but I think Shrewsbury can rest players as well, away to Blackpool.
Things to consider if you are doing a football bet.
