That’s how I see today…..was last week’s Rovers result a fluke ?…Has Maloney finally had an epiphany?….Are we slowly but surely starting to look the business? Still on holiday so a few extra Mythos lined up….1-3 for me.!!!
The key word is
Consistenty
He can’t get 2 good performances back to back.
Again 61% possession with no substance 1 shot on target (plus Aasgaards header) just shockingly bad.
Now some say:-
“I’d take a point” correct before the kick off but looking at how poor Lincoln were they were therefore the taking so it’s 2 points dropped for me based on last weeks performance.
How we can be so good 1 week and look so sh!t 7 days later is beyond me. Unless he can bottle the good performances for the week after we’ll just float around the league

Haven’t seen it but mates who went said exactly that. Lincoln poor and yet again, again and again we create zilch. Consistency we do not have and under Maloneys tenure it’s been evident throughout. Pushing up the league means turning games like that into 3 points…….mid table mediocrity looms …
I’m not too bothered about Bruce and Lang I’m more bothered about Maloney’s tactics
It was clear from the off they saw Rankine as a threat and they doubled up on him. He did well on a couple of occasions but he was been nullified.
For me Maloney needed to react seeing Rankine was having a tough time and try something else, he did by taking him off on the hour.
Lincoln were fookin crap and we threw away 3 points by matching Lincoln’s performance especially after last week.
Like I said before the game a points a point but early in the game it was clear to see Lincoln were struggling
Us not performing is not our players
That’s your manager

Glad you 3 guys have the same views on this game as myself.
I was scared to post first, in case I got railroaded by the Happy Clappers.
Some below average performances for me today, including Weir who was a shadow of last week.
Need to pull their socks up for Tuesday & Saturday !!!
I think that Kerr and Aimson are a fairly solid CB pairing that has potential to be a fine base to build on.
But…what’s in front of them isn’t good enough. I’ve not seen enough of Weir yet, so he may prove to be what we need in midfield.
Jury is out on Rankine and the fella on the left. And Hugill needs to show a lot more. Asgaard was good early on but faded, as per usual.
No criticism for Chambers and Carragher, both did their job. Tickles kicking distribution is shocking.
I like the fact we’ve brought Glenn Whelan in as assistant manager. Vastly experienced guy who was a very good midfielder at Stoke and Villa. Let’s see what he can bring to the table.
I saw a superb attacking front foot performance against a poor Bristol Rovers then a poor, lack of ideas boring performance against a poor Lincoln City
My point is,
Although before KO you’d be happy with a point you have to be disappointed with it after you see what your opposition have to offer.
I’m not saying week in week out we play like we did against Bristol City but we need to be less chalk n cheese hit n miss.
It’s all about consistency and Maloney needs to start getting an even keel rather than a Parbold Hill up & down.
As for our attacking formation? I’m still struggling to fathom out were it is or what it’s all about it’s hard to suss out, only time will tell.
@Vat69 I’ve gotta agree, Glen Whelan is a superb appointment, relativity young and very experienced player with 610 games and 91 caps, players will listen to what he says as he’s been there and got the t-shirt shirts and skids.
Let’s hope we can start now with Whelan here to gain some consistency and get the midfield working as a unit but that last man up front?, we badly lack that experience
