if you look at the average crowd each club has and divide the decibel figure by this figure it looks much different, ie manchester utd 94 db /75.093 thou ave = 1.25 db per thousand
this is the revised table
1.Blackpool – 5.39 db per thousand
2.Wigan Athletic – 4.36 per thou
3.Stoke city – 3.09 per thou
4.Bolton Wanderers – 3.04 per thou
5.Birmingham City – 2.76 per thou
6.West Brom Albion – 2.72 per thou
7.Blackburn Rovers – 2.71 per thou
8.Fulham – 2.6 per thou
9.West Ham Utd. – 2.56 per thou
10.Wolves – 2.5 per thou
11.Aston Villa – 2.41 per thou

Nice positive slant on proceedings there LMB :clap:as i have said many times to anyone who cares to listen – i am a wigan athletic fan and i will support and defend my club to the hilt to people outside our group.
doesnt mean i have to agree with how our club is run or support the manager regardless.Dont kid yourself ..I was in the Villa end at the weekend..I was on the anadin by halftime.Mind you one villa fan said we keep the ball like Barca??He was pissed tough..
lmb – you’ve got it about right there I think.
Even though we’ve got relatively low home crowds we do get behind them usually. E.g the times I’ve been to St James Park it was like a library apart from when Newcastle scored. Anfield was just the same. We’re usually good on general singing, chanting, encouragement when we get corners etc. The bigger clubs fans tend to sit and wait.
Saying that, the Newcastle away support is fantastic. A bit weird that those 5,000 who follow them away make no noise at home?
