Sylvain Ebanks-Blake is unavailable due to injury.
Kevin Doyle is also out… so that’s their 2 best strikers not involved.Christophe Berra and Kevin Foley (2 regular features in Wolves’ back 4) are both our injured.
Also Chris Iwelumo and Michael Kightly are still injured and remain out the team.
Looking good for us…
I’ve always backed us to win this game but these problems might make the scoreline a bit more comfortable in our favour.Verdict: Wigan 3 – 0 Wolves
18 August 2009 at 2:08 pm #5424Still be a difficult game, they’ll come to the DW with 10 men behind the ball.
I’m confident of a win but don’t think it will be easy.
Lawro says 2-1 Wigan
Lew says 3-0 Wiganso………… i’ll meet in the middle at 2-0 (Hugo with both).
18 August 2009 at 2:15 pm #5426Lets not get to cocky here, it will still be a very tough game.
18 August 2009 at 2:19 pm #5428I reckon they’ll be going 4-5-1 with Keogh up front on his own. They shouldn’t cause us too much of a threat but whether we will be able to break them down is another matter. Is N’Zogbia definitely out? This could be a game were Bouaouzan gets a chance because we could do with a player who will run at sides that have come to defend and get their defence on the back-foot.

Bouaouzan in to replace him..? I hope not.
I’d go with Sinclair over him.. looked impressive when he came on against Villa.18 August 2009 at 2:34 pm #5431i think it will be the most 1 sided 1-0 wigan win ever.
Cant see them causing any threat at all but like someone else said they will be hard to break down with 10 men behind the ball.
I actually feal sorry for them picking up so many injuries so early on as they will be thinking we are the sort of team they nead to be beating to stay up.
I think they will just survive this season but if they are going to have this sort of luck straight through its going to be very difficult.
good luck Wolves , after tonight anyway18 August 2009 at 4:55 pm #5444I really think Wolves could be on the end of a hiding, we could have had 4 on Saturday and I think we can get 4 tonight. I know it will be harder at home to break them down but from what I saw on Saturday we are now playing with the guile that has been missing from our game.
18 August 2009 at 7:36 pm #5458Can’t see them scoring they will have come to defend so I’m going for 1.0. Hugo
18 August 2009 at 7:43 pm #5461The Wolves 10-man back four will keep the score down, i’m ready for a frustrating 1-0 win.
19 August 2009 at 9:13 pm #5663and how wrong you all were……………
19 August 2009 at 9:34 pm #5666Oh the irony
19 August 2009 at 10:27 pm #5679Only on the score, the 10 man back far wasn’t far from accurate.
