There are not too many better center forwards than KD in the Prem, I’d have him in my team any day. The sad thing about his call up is that its come when he’s 33 and not 28.
Good on yer Mr Capello for looking at lads like Jarvis from wolves and Davies from noblot who perform well week in and week out in the prem for their clubs.
It’s the prima donas who get in the squad on a regular basis no matter how well they’re playing for their clubs that make me think “God Help Us”
Old pigeon chest one of the dirtiest players in the prem
And one of the most fouled players each and every season.
I bet you use to love Bobby Campbell when he played for the tics and he dished out more stitches than the Higher Ince knitting society. :D
Kevin davies called up for england how much lower can we sink, unbelievable
Yet again the naive one liners on this web site appear to be blinkered to why he was picked, look at the opponents and their physical reputation, we need someone with strength to lead the line.
England are dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t, keep the same team then they get criticised, bring in new players then get criticised.
Who would you suggest would be picked up front for England?

To continue on this thread….let’s not have the wool pulled over our eyes. Good player or not, Davies still plays for our closest rivals Bolton, and it’s the needle match in a couple of week times.
You and me both. I’ve always thought Bolton were bobbins as a team when they played us, but they’ve knitted together well since Coyle took over, and they are no pullovers, sorry, I mean pushovers these days.

I saw that pullover gag looming on the horizon. There’s only you though that could spin out a yarn for so long on this subject. I wait patiently so see how many you reel in, but there will be loads that don’t cotton on.
