Talking about burying your head in the sand

14 games into the season we are in the relegation zone having already used up easy home games against Blackpool,Wolves and West Brom.
We now go to West Ham for a massive match without our best (only decent) striker but everything is tickety boo because we are 5 points (and 15 goals) behind 7th place? Jeez.

This “easy home game” against Blackpool…….now not defending what happened on day 1, but Blackpool have beaten Liverpool, Newcastle and only lost in the last minute to Villa with a “weakened” side. Hardly an easy side to beat even now and we did win the other 2 “easy home games”.

As Edinburgh said, come back if we lose next week and put in a “Fulham” performance then you’ll have something to moan about, not whinging about using 3 games (won 2/3) by November or is the fixture list Martinez’ fault now?

i think you may find its totally opposite to that,no body except the ones running out of excuses for bobs ineptitude seem to be the only ones who look foward to relegation -the ones who dont buy into his outlook on footballing life and want him out generally do so because they would rather keep our tenure in the big league for some time to come and dont see that as a possibility why he is at the helm.

we are fast approaching the halfway point of the season,
in the bottom three where we have spent most of the season, the lowest scorers in the league, create very few chances,concede more goals than we ever have done, have a manager who will not change his formation despite it clearly not working,every reporter who writes or commentates on us say we are poor and for the drop,every opposition fan we play thinks we are the worst team they have played.

now that is not my opinion it is FACT.

can someone a little more positive than i am tell me in which area we are “making progress”

You can’t state them as facts! How can you say that EVERY opposition fan thinks were the worst team they have played. In fact I will go the other way and say that statement is DEFINITELY false!

Our performances don’t warrant our league position imo.

It is a little worrying, but I think we’ll end up around the 14th-15th mark come May.
