      Well here goes…..

He is really impressed with the youth players and will definitely be looking to them in the future to make an impact within the team.

He didn’t elaborate on what his thoughts were on the FA charges (didn’t actually ask)

Riera, Delort and Waghorn have just come back from injury (Waghorn still isn’t fit), but they will deffo feature, Delort especially has impressed this week.

He sees plenty of positives in the side, attitudes are excellent, performance rates are superb and he thinks apart from the first half against Norwich the team has played quite well. Aim 1 is to get out of the bottom 3 and then he can look to where we can climb to.

He will be adding to the squad in January in all areas, he wasn’t too convincing in reassuring us that Maloney, Rogne and Espinoza were going to be here in February.

Relegated sides tend to struggle because teams that come down tend to lose key players and have to play in different ways, something that he says we will see him do with us…. play in different ways including,……. yes really, including…. 4-4-2 when it calls for it and we have the players to pull it off.

4-2-3-1 is the failsafe to combat 4-4-2 in fact it tends to beat it 9 times out of 10

Tan is a very nice man (he didn’t really say that)

The FA Cup will have Wigan Athletic’s name on it again this season, I asked if he was going to use it to get more wins under the belt and he said yes, he wouldn’t do anything else but go out and win every cup game – so its ours again

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Formations are a load of bollocks most of the time as players get dragged out of position too easily! They may start in a certain formation but invariably it ends up being something completely different! Strikers these days are not necessarily the penalty area predators of old and so playing 2 strikers doesn’t have to mean 2 players right upfront! What I am trying to say is that it would be good to see 2 strikers starting but in a different set up, I feel there would be more options and contingencies with 2 forwards on the field as opposed to making substitutions! Anything has to be better than the lone wolf striker formation that we seem to have adopted with no fruition on the horizon as of yet!

So, maybe one target man, and one playing off him, a bit deeper? You could then have two wide men in an a more advanced position as support so you get an….err…..4-2-3-1 :P

They could mix it up a bit is what I was getting at! Waghorn is a striker but has predominantly been played out wide for us! My point is we should try starting games with two recognized strikers on the pitch!

Good point Fill. By the time our 1 is chasing the ball everywhere we look more like 4 6 0. and not the 4 5 1 we are meant to be playing. Does anyone actually play the dreaded 4 4 2 anymore that we need to set up just to conquer it. If so the 9 times out of 10 certainly doesn’t work with our 4 5 1 or 5 4 1 that we favour. Reality is we just have to work harder and be more positive. A little like what Use promised but didn’t deliver.

Said this before, but I’m not sure we have two recognized strikers. There are very few that I recognize as strikers

Well McManaman is down as a striker on his player profile. On saying that, he has now been replaced with half an hour to go, with a midfielder! Definitely no strikers out there now! Not sure about this guy’s tactics at all!
