Anyone no why ?
9 August 2010 at 7:46 pm #41896Apparently because they wouldnt allow him to spend all the money from the Milner transfer. Just rumours for now.
9 August 2010 at 8:44 pm #41904If Liverpool had just waited :D

Probably thinking along the lines of “I’ve worked to assemble a decent side, and now with Milner looking like he is going, and other players possibly as well, that work is being undone and we’re just treading water”.
I’m a bit surprised at the timing of it though. My first thought was ‘Has another club made an approach’? But there aren’t any jobs going at the moment.
A bold decision by O’Neill, whatever the reason.
10 August 2010 at 12:08 pm #41932I believe he lost the dressing room, not sure where you could lose it like but…..
O’Neil made some awful purchases in his time, Sidwell, Heskey, Harewood, Reo Coker etc, I imagine the board were refusing to sanction more money for him based on his poor transfer record.
He walked before he was pushed. But poor timing by O’Neil….
10 August 2010 at 3:25 pm #41947I read today the players have been sending picture texts of champagne bottles to each other.
It said Villa stars but I would imagine these are the players such as Luke Young, Curtis Davies, Steve Sidwell, Nigel Reo-Coker, etc. The likes of who hardly featured under O’Neill.
I would take any/all of them players at Wigan providing the wage demands weren’t ott.

Difference being, Bruce had a job to go to. Where as, O’Neill hasn’t.
