Martinez has to go no heart in the team, he’s lost MOST of the fans and the subs today what was he doing?
14 March 2010 at 1:16 am #26355Martinez really makes you mad, just heard his interview, a mountain to climb being 1-0 down, his he taking the piss, and the team his drained after monday, give me a minute, get it sorted martinez and bring back some heart into the team,
14 March 2010 at 1:20 am #26357Martinez has to go no heart in the team, he’s lost MOST of the fans and the subs today what was he doing? As we speak, a search party is retracing the route from Horwich to see if the lost fans and subs can be tracked down.
14 March 2010 at 1:58 am #26360He bloody annoyed and puzzled me today.
Forget all about meetings with fans and being a nice bloke, I’ve had it after today.
Firstly, why the hell did he drop Moreno to the bench? Why change a winning side?
Secondly, we went 3-0 down, and what does he do when we are struggling against a very tall Bolton side? Did he bring the 6’2 Moreno on? No, he brought Scotland and Gomez on.Jesus tonight! We were bloody awful. More fight in a marshmallow.
And his after match comments? Baffling, just baffling. This guy really HAS lost the plot. I spoke to a couple of Latics ‘fans of influence’ shall we say, after the game, and even they said “You can’t defend him after that”.
If we stay up, it’ll be down to other teams failings, NOT our manager. We really, REALLY, looked like a relegation team, today.

To be honest, you’re probably right.
14 March 2010 at 1:54 pm #26408Martinez really makes you mad, just heard his interview, a mountain to climb being 1-0 down, his he taking the yellow water, and the team his drained after monday, give me a minute, get it sorted martinez and bring back some heart into the team, :evil:Heart in the team? I’ll take this to mean scheissekickers, but correct me if I’m wrong.
It strikes me that the average Latics fan wants to see players chasing the opposition all over the pitch and putting the boot in wherever they can, something which supports the façade that the players are ‘committed’ or giving their ‘all’ for the team. In reality, it sacrifices playing football for a pursuit that would tarnish us as long ball merchants.
14 March 2010 at 2:37 pm #26413I believe he dropped Moreno today because he won nothing in the air against knight and ricketts when we played at the DW.
I can see why everyone is annoyed because we lost 4 nil but it SHOULD have been so different. The fact we had a clear penalty not given, the fact that before every goal Davies committed a foul on one of our players and not once was booked, yet scharner did the same thing and got booked. We SHOULD have scored before half time but for N’Zogbia to miss a sitter.
We lost 4-1 to Bolton when Steve Bruce was our manager as well. The substitutions baffled me also, but you have to think once we were 3 down, there was no coming back and he rested Rodallega.
Did you hear the reaction to Owen Coyle by the Bolton fans? They were beaten by a team struggling very badly in Sunderland 4 nil and they were behind their manager. Come on lets get behind the manager and team Tuesday night.14 March 2010 at 3:17 pm #26420“Did you hear the reaction to Owen Coyle by the Bolton fans? Thats because they fight for every ball and give there all even tho they r not the best team. what have we been watching this season total rubbish, 3 good wins but look what formation them teams play we beat
14 March 2010 at 3:23 pm #26422Interview with Jussi Jaaskelainen, in yesterdays programme.
Can I quote what he said?
“The only style that matters is winning football”.
I agree 100%, and only wish our manager and players had the same attitude.

they get behind coyle granted, but as i remember the last fellow was sacked because he was totally inept and clueless and everyone in the reebok could see the systems he employed was going to send them down, whereas bringing in some one who plays to the teams strengths is going to keep them in the premiership, fan will respond positivly to that.
now an ever increasing number of latics supporters see it with martinez and are starting to react like the bolton fans did with megson,so i suggest we get rid of the buffoon in charge and all start to cheer a new man with some stomach for a fight and one who doesnt let dogmatic beliefs get in the way of reality.
oh and by the way i assume i will be reminded of the hoof it bolton style that is so boring being our “pretty footballing” teams downfall yesterday, but 3 of the 4 goals and 2 more when they should have scored were from situations when they ran at us or passed along the ground.

Before you can play your football you have to put the work in.
Thats what we did against Liverpool, and we got the rewards for it.

14 March 2010 at 10:21 pm #26494Before you can play your football you have to put the work in.What does this even mean?
Against Liverpool we had something to defend, and did so well.
14 March 2010 at 10:40 pm #26499I actually think we may stay up because there’s three teams in this divsion worse than us as opposed to the belief that we played our way out of trouble. He is a man in well over his head and he has to go.
It makes me laugh how some folk on here will ask us to ‘get behind the team’ as shouting for his head won’t help. Keeping him here will do worse long term damage. I appreciate he’s a fan and all that. But if he’s a fan, he’d be better off buying a season ticket!
With the first eleven he’s got, and he hasnt had that many injuries either he has no place to hide.
