Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez says that he has full faith in his players’ ability to recover from their disappointing start to the season.
The Latics are currently second from bottom in the Premier League on five points from nine matches and lost 1-0 to Newcastle United at St James’ Park last weekend.
On Saturday, Wigan play host to Fulham, who are two places and two points above them, and Martinez says that his players are “desperate” to get on the pitch and prove themselves.
“The way we want to play, we rely on the confidence and talent of the players and I don’t think that we are going to lose that,” explained Martinez on Sky Sports News.
“But we always need to create a little bit of momentum and probably that momentum has to start with a victory or a positive result.
“So far we have done really good things but they have been hidden by bad results.
“We know what we have done well and what we have to correct, and that’s why we are so desperate to get on the pitch on Saturday.”
A victory or a positive result. A draw at home to Fulham would not be a positive result. The only positive result would be a victory. Get your head out of the clouds Martinez and say what needs to be said.
So far we have done really good things but they have been hidden by bad results.
No Martinez we have done most things really bad thats why we are down with the dead men,full of shoite again
