Maybe there lies the real reason for our relegation.
Martinez can set up a team and motivate them for one off matches where drawing is of no use and winning is the only result worth anything.

Whereas in league games he was perhaps too cautious and sent them out with the thought that ‘we’ve got a point, lets try to hang onto it by keeping possession and boring the opposition into submission and hopefully we can snatch a goal from one of the few chances we may eventually make when they fall asleep.’
Playing possession football is okay if you have the quality of player to play that way, but you also need to be able to take the chances you make, especially if the defense is dodgy and the chances are few and far between.

Sunday epitomized our season really, one up front at home against a poor team with nothing to play for.

Its no suprise we don’t pass it forward though, when usually there is no-one in a forward position to receive a pass.

Jason Scotland was rubbish for us but I have never shouted anything at him during a match. There is winding folk up and there is defamation of character and for you to say that I have verbally abused players when I have not is tantamount to the latter in my book !
