The mans sanity should be questioned. He now says he is happy with the squad and does not need anyone else as we have three returning from injury…..

Absolute throbbing mantis. If he was happy with the squad before, and now he is a man down as Boselli has gone, it meant he had a number of strikers he was happy with. Now he is one less and he is happy.Please, for the love of the club can someone not just take our most inept manager and send him on his way. He is not wanted, not very good and clearly not very bright to think he can say things like that and the fans swallow it week in week out.
Just go Martinez, no one wants to hear your excuses anymore, if he had some balls about him he would say the chairman has told me we have no funds – then fair enough. But to spout this drivel just shows how pathetic he actually is. Standing on the technical area, week after week, praying for the final whistle at 0-0, 11 seconds after kick off, hoping no-one notices he has no idea, waving his hands around with no one on the pitch taking any notice whatsoever. Jones laughing at him.
He should just do the honourable thing and go back to being a pundit on skys spanish matches.

I could see it coming, and I first heard murmerings of this last week, the day after I’d said it would be the case. I found it highly coincidental that as Boselli was leaving, they suddenly put out on SSN that McCarthy was ‘nearing fitness’. I could see it coming.
Agree that his strength is in being a pundit. He talks a good game, as does Lawrenson and Hansen.
Agrtee with what you say, he should go now. I finmd his constant spin and bull to be disrespective to the fans, to be honest.

It probably happens all the time at your place of work: the Sales Director stands up in front of prospective customers and his Sales team, announces that his team are not up to the job, and if he had his way he’d sack the lot and replace them, but as there’s a recruitment freeze on, he’ll have to put up with them for now. The team are thoroughly motivated and smash all their targets for the next twelve months.
