Do you buy it?
I have only started buying it since my daughter has got into watching us.
Before that I never bothered.
Haven’t brought a programme for yonks. Just glossy adverts last time I did, and you can’t recycle them as loo paper.
Are they any good nowadays?
I used to collect programmes and have literally hundreds. Used to buy them every game, but stopped a few years ago and don’t miss them.
There’s no originality in them and every club’s programme is the same as every other club’s programme, just with different players’ pictures inside. Even the covers are identical.
Years ago programmes had different designs, even different sizes and shapes.
And the team line-ups were in 1-2-3-5 :D
So, no, I don’t bother, and won’t until they become more interesting.
I havn’t bought one for years-used to get one every match, without fail.But now I don’t think there’s much worth reading, it seems to be pretty much the same every week ….glossy pictures and bland articles.
After my mum threw out all my old ones (nearly 15 years worth) I lost all interest in collecting them.
But I have got them lately so my kids can start collecting them…. I won’t throw them out though.
