28 August 2009 at 11:54 am #711428 August 2009 at 11:59 am #7115And where in that article does it say maynor wants to leave?????
28 August 2009 at 12:40 pm #7126This is going too far now, what a mess.
28 August 2009 at 1:00 pm #7131This is going too far now, what a mess.I fail to see what we can do about Steve Bruce being linked with one of our players?????
28 August 2009 at 1:12 pm #7136There’s absolutely nothing we can do about it. I know I’ll get cut down for saying it, but Sunderland are a more established club than Wigan, and offer a more attractive proposition to a player.
When is the last time you heard about a Wigan player leaving the club kicking and screaming after being forced out, or a player rejecting a move and opting to pledge his future to us?
Sunderland can pay more money per week, and have a more realistic chance of qualifying for European football – albeit sometime in the future.
If they want to go, they’ll go, and I’d put money on Figueroa not being a Wigan player by the end of the transfer window.28 August 2009 at 1:20 pm #7137There’s absolutely nothing we can do about it. If they want to go, they’ll go, and I’d put money on Figueroa not being a Wigan player by the end of the transfer window.Which is fair enough, IF we get a replacement in place by Teusday as back up/replacement in addition to Edman. If not, then the lad should be made to wait until January.
28 August 2009 at 1:29 pm #7139Would agree with you on that. Edman starts, Figueroa on the bench – which in all honestly is what I’d prefer whether or not he stays.
Edman is a better defender, and although Figueroa is better going forward, his final ball is often woeful.
28 August 2009 at 1:39 pm #7140As much as I dont want him to go, I dont really think he’s the greatest player i’ve ever seen? You could easily get someone for about £1 mill who will do more or less the same – defend a bit, take throw in’s and cant deliver a final ball!
But as I said I still dont want the lad to go!28 August 2009 at 2:43 pm #7145mmm interesting, as Martinez has just been on SSN saying Maynor going no where. Lets see if we stick to that this time.
28 August 2009 at 2:45 pm #7146so its sorted then he is going
28 August 2009 at 2:55 pm #7150Whelan!!! Pull your f*cking finger out this time you money sniffing wan*er!
Hold on to our best players as you never replace them, and if we do it’s with shite. Championship quality shite!
Bruce fu*k off now you big head!!!!
rant over.
28 August 2009 at 9:20 pm #7173Nothing we can do about it? Hes under contract, so unless we release him, he goes nowhere. A sad state of affairs when we cant keep hold of people who wouldnt have even made our team before Whelans transfer dealings.

are you talking before the prem or in the last twelve months or since you got sacked by him
