If Chris McCann’s injury put’s him out, then i can see Uve using the loan window again. The window closes 28th March.

Fingers crossed it isn’t serious, but if it is then we’ll need holding midfielder cover. i don’t think Uve sees Perch as an option ?

Tunnicliffe is cup tied, leaving Espinoza in there with McArthur potentially

Looks like he’s out for the rest of the season. Uwe needs to put his thinking cap on now.

A great shame – he’s settled in very well.

But surely McArthur can play there in the cup, and perhaps McEachran too. Tunnicliffe can share in the rotation in the Championship games.

As for central defenders, we’ve got Rogne and Holgersson, and Caldwell on the mend.

I think we have the maximum number of loan players already – which is why he let Browning go back to Everton so he could bring in Tunnicliffe.

McCann was the best thing Coyle did for Wigan and he will be missed. For the first half he was immense at left centre back and a tribute that he saw out the first half with a fractured knee cap.

I think that the amount of loan players a team can have may have been cleared up a few weeks ago in that you can have any amount but only have 5 (I think) in a squad on match day. I think he let Browning go to release him from the (loan) wage bill as bringing in anyone else now would cost the club in wages.
Think that Barnsley has covered the problem with his suggestions and I personally don’t think that we need worry yet (if we get another serious injury then that’s a different matter)
