    Lang scores again.

    Is that 3 in 4 games ?
    Is that luck ?
Or is that playing in a team whose attacking suits his style ?

Playing alongside better players and a manager who has a clue is definitely helping him.
It’s rather macabre that I love seeing the highlights of him scoring for Portsmouth.
What the hell our so-called manager was thinking of in both A, not playing him in his best position, and B, then treating him shockingly leaving him out and then letting him go, I’ve no idea. Throwing him on as an added time sub against United…that really was abysmal.

I’ve had enough of this manager…hes crap. All those singing his name are utter deluded plebs. He’s awful. Carry on and it’s hello to 5k crowds. Remember as well, he WAS a Bahraini appointment. I’d prefer Danson to sort a Chief Exec and Board out, then make their own appointment in the summer.

The Lang issue was a disgrace…..didn’t utilise him properly……4 goals already and already a fans favourite. But worry not heard Magennis will be offered another contract……I kid you not !!!…What the shit is this Maloney/Magennis love in ???

Also Vat, I can only find your (negative) pre match comments about the Bolton game. Can’t seem to find your comments after we beat 2nd in the league and local rivals 🤷‍♂️

I knew you would bite. So let’s have it… :mail:

Because we sat back all night with a bank of 5 and a bank of 4, had a pathetic amount of possession for a home team, and but for Sam Tickle we would’ve been 3 goals down. He played Magennis who is absolutely a waste of time. Apart from the goal, I can’t recall us having much else in front of their goal.

We did what we did against City when Grigg scored. But this was Bolton…league One Bolton. Not City. Awful parking the bus in a local Derby.

Yes we won, but I’m not getting carried away about that. He played a dangerous game, Baloney, and got lucky on the night. The only positive thing from the Bolton game is we won. We won despite of Baloney, not BECAUSE of him.

It take backbone to support a team like Wigan Athletic. We will always lose games no matter who the manager is.

Anyone who can’t deal with that should support another team.

Every defeat is a dagger to the heat, and sometimes when we only draw. But it should not mean that you’re weekend is a disaster, there are more important things in life.

I wasn’t there today but it did sound like a total f**k up all round.

Nope, it’s most definitely the ones singing his name. Are you one of them? Ha ha.

Theyll still be singing it next season with 5000 crowds on….

REPLYING TO EDWARDS…cock up whilst posting.

Mate, I’ve been going since 86 and went all through the early 90s, Swain Era. Never missed a game.

But I’ve realised, and I know there are a lot more of the old school Latics who have realised that there is more to life than football. Everyone will see in the summer if there is any ambition in the Club at all. People keep saying Baloney will be able to sign players…hmm, yeah let’s see.

Crowds are dropping off rapidly. Loads from around where I sit…ST holders…have jibbed it and haven’t been going to matches. Its as entertaining as watching a door close.

I haven’t enjoyed going for a while, with all that’s happened, for me the old Latics that I supported is long gone. I know others feel the same. Its not the same club. Same badge, same colours. But not the same club.

And so VAT after all those years you must know that losing games is part and parcel of following the Tics, and so should not affect your life too much. We all cry on the inside when we lose, we’ll I do anyway!

This season is turning out exactly or even better than most people predicted, This current form of inconsistency is how young teams develop, and as supporters we need to stick with them to play our part to help them develop. If we’re not up for that we’re following the wrong team and should sell our soul to Manure.

Every manager has to gamble. Every team selections, substitution, transfer and many other decisions is a roll of the dice. And we would all bet differently in hindsight.
Maloney has a relatively weak hand and so some of his gambles don’t come off, but some do. There’s not exactly a que at the door door of managers who’ve never made a mistake us there?

But I’m wasting my time saying all this.

At Springfield Park the likes of of young Jewell, Newell, Langley, Cook and others were regularly barracked for any mistake, so some things never change.
