I think after results going our way and the way we played last week the players went out with a confidence that was then knocked out of them within 90 seconds. That goal threw us totally and we started giving the ball away and making mistakes. All the pressure was off and we immediately put it back onto ourselves.

The saving grace, or positive as Bob would put it, is that with Villa expected to lose to City tomorrow night we haven’t lost anything and our destiny is still in our own hands.

We need to start picking those surprise points up though. Beating the teams around us is good but it’s no good if we don’t get any points from anywhere else while they do. I’m still 60/40 that we’ll survive.

the best team to visit us this season.

Now THAT is absolute cack!
It’s not cack it’s my opinion. As bad as we were, Liverpool played well. Maybe Man U or Southampton should get a mention for best performance, but this one is freshest in the memory, so :P .

Our home form is awful and we have two massive games this
Month against Newcastle and Norwich which I think will shape the run in.Lose them both and I think we are done for and no positive slants from the manager is going to change that.
our home form is so bad it’s unbelievable and they need to try and fathom out the reason because no wins in nearly four months(Bournemouth game included) is just unacceptable.
the pressure is off at Everton and maybe that will result in a better performance but let’s not lose sight of the fact that we could be six points adrift of safety come that Newcastle game.
Martinez needs to look at his squad and make a tweak here and there like he did with Maloney last season because the games are running out and we need to turn this rotten home form around very quickly!

Mr B get a grip.Better players under manager who is moving forward.move on.

Yeah right, that Stuart Downing is world class when it comes to scoring headers, or is that just against woeful wigan defenders ?

Your are right about a manager who is moving forward, pity we have one stuck in the dark ages when it comes to sorting out the problem that has dogged us from his first ever game in charge.
Once again haker’s honest views get a big thumbs up from me at least.

Problem is though (as ridiculous as it sounds) is that that those games are at home and the players don’t care enough to get gee’d up for our home games.

See why i don’t have a season ticket any more.
£250 to see 1 win so far…………… I don’t think so.

I will invest my money when you do Mr. Whelan.
