wont hurt us one bit in fact might be a godsend
with players out of contract and looking set to leave, loan players set to return to parent clubs
and players that other clubs might be after leaving us for pastures new
missing out this time will be a godsend ,will give uwe the chance to spend any transfer money on players he feels will be good and strong enough for the job
i have a feeling we will lose a couple of our better players come the summer
uwe must build for a stable premiership campaign and a lenghty stay like the last one
and not an embarassing season of good hidings and strieght back down relegation27 April 2014 at 4:31 pm #130350If we do go up, Uwe has a better chance of keeping the squad together. We would, of course, need additional players, and our survival would depend on them.
The bottom half of the Premier League is not particularly intimidating just now. Let’s go for it and see how things turn out.
27 April 2014 at 5:31 pm #130352I disagree. With the amount of money swashing around the prem we have no choice but to get promoted as soon as possible. No guarantees we’ll be stronger next year esp if many of our ex prem players move on.
The secret is to not give a shit once we’re up – which now we’ve been there and done that I don’t anymore, Just assume we’re going to get relegated, focus just on the cups and treat it as a smash and grab. If we stay up, bonus. Otherwise, with that cash and chute payments we can have another fun year in the championship…and so on…

and not an embarassing season of good hidings and strieght back down relegationThe longer we stay in this division the harder it will be to get back up. We don’t generate enough money to make decent signings so the prem and it’s greed is much needed, even if we do come straight back down. Have enjoyed this season, but there is not much that beats a promotion pish up :)
