Brilliant night! Me and the missus were contemplating leaving early if we were losing as the recent games have left us depressed. What a difference a good effort and win makes. How could anyone leave early on a night like that?
Anyway, the point i want to discuss was the tactics, it was evident that we were not just trying to pass it, but with Moreno providing a possible target man, we were able to play some good long ball stuff when it was appropriate and we also used Figgy’s long throw. Looks like we have a plan B!!!
I was glad to see the long throws back in the armoury when needed.
Not in a “Rory Delap this is all we do” sort of way, but providing a further option.
One option we should ditch though is the short corner – when has that EVER been a good idea :(
