I think this is the problem, “the ONLY way you can get wins is affecting the performance”.
That’s wrong, there’s ways to get wins even with a bad performance, and any team needs to win ugly aswell. If utd only ever picked up 3points when they have a top performance, they wouldn’t have won much I assure you, I admire his philosophy, but with those players and in the position were in I don’t think it’s appropriate, dependent on whether the club are bothered about the drop, which I don’t think they are, so if he’s sticking with that philosophy in readiness for next season then fair play to him, it’s no fun now but maybe in time it pays dividends?
I liken what he’s doing with the total football of arsenal, and they blow hot and cold, sometimes woeful but others absolutely majestic, but their players are streets ahead of what we have, so although I admire the football philosophy that bobby has, I think it’s sheer stupidity with the tools at his disposal, and he did buy the majority of those tools himself.

agree with john doe…the players are just not good enough to do what he wants them to do. i can see what he wants from them, quick passes to feet, always be available to recieve the ball, counter attack in numbers, but the fact is they are just not good enough.

bizzarley, swansea are good enough..they have carried on what he started and have bought well, players who are comfortable with the ball, play without fear, are very strong at home…everything we are not.

when we came up under jewell, we had the no fear factor, and were decent at home, we bought experience in de zeuww and henchoz, then when bruce came,he had a very good home record, his team didnt play pretty football but it was effective and we competed in every game (man u apart) and i thought we were moving forward, unfortunately so was bruce and he couldt wait to run away..but the players he had, did the job asked, and i think we were quite comfortable most of the time.

under martinez i can see us only getting worse..with no fresh players we are stuck with the same players who are not capable of doing the simple things, to get us out of the trouble, that THEY have got us in.
i dont actually think it will be such a disaster to go down and start again, we are not a club full of big name players on long contracts so shud be able to deal with it ok…
