Really? Forbes have him listed as having $470 million, doesn’t read much like a telephone number to me. Did you mean area code or are Forbes wrong?

Tony Fernandes owns 66% of QPR, the other 33%(about 1% is with fans and small investors)is owned by Amit Bhatia on behalf of the Mittal Family, Bhatia resigned from the QPR board in protest of the massive price hikes implemented by the previous board of Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, he returned to the board when Fernandes purchased the majority share holding, Bhatia is also a trustee in a community based charity supported by QPR and raised £32k sponsorship competing in a triathlon, he also attends all of QPR’s games home and away when business permits him to do so.

Amit Bhatia is married to Vanisha Mittal, the only daughter of the second richest man in Britain and sixth in the world Lakshmi Mittal, the Mittals all live in Kensington in London, Lakshmi purchased his home in 2004 from Ecclestone for £57 million, in 2007 he bought his son a house in the same street for £117 million and the year after, another for his daughter, a snip at just £70 million the combined value of those houses was estimated at some £500 million in September 2011, the family also own country estates in Scotland and Surrey as well as numerous properties in London and worldwide, conservative estimate value their homes worldwide at £1billion.

If this is not enough “telephone numbers for you” Mittal also owns a yacht called Amevi that was launched in 2007 it is 80M(263 ft) long and is available for charter at $1 million per week.

Forbes barely touched the tip of the iceberg with the wealth of the owners of QPR, Fernandes himself, as well as his business interests is also developing a new formula one racing team , Air Asia/ Caterham cars which has secured backing from Mittal thought to be worth 100 to 200 million pounds over the next 5 years.

I think a few of you may find that both commitment and finance is available to QPR and they are not a just rich owners plaything by overseas owners, in fact all of the people involved were educated and live in Britain.

Thanks for that copy and paste article from Google LMB.
However, with all that money and all that interest in football, why the hell did they allow a second rate manager like Warnock take up the helm of his ship and buy players the quality of Ady Boothroyd, DJ Campbell, Joey Barton,SWP and the loan signing of Man Utd’s 5th choice striker.

Why not invest all that “throw away” cash on the likes of David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli, Yaya Toure or Carloz Tevez?

I’m sure they would sooner be fighting for the title than fighting relegation. Just seen on SSN that they have now recruited Man city’s 5th choice central defender.

Nobody is disputing the money this club owners have, its more about understanding what running a football club is all about. Although I’m not keen on the pilluk, listen to the interview that Warnock gave after being sacked by Fernandes by e-mail.

Like I said lets watch what happens to QPR when this multi, multi millionaire gets bored with his little toy. ;)

…and I tend to agree JR. It will be interesting to see how this ‘Little London Club’ fare when the Fair Play system kicks in (not long now)…..again it will come down to how clubs are managed (and I don’t mean on the field) – I think there will be a few ‘shocks’ in the next couple of years.

A challenge for you shitbrain find anywhere on the whole world Wide Web where what I wrote is in that form, there is a difference from copying and pasting an article and passing it off as ones own, to finding information from all media sources and adding it to knowledge you already have of the subject in the first place, then putting it into a form that even the most stupid morons of society like yourself can understand.

However, with all that money and all that interest in football, why the hell did they allow a second rate manager like Warnock take up the elm of his ship and buy players the quality of Ady Boothroyd, DJ Campbell, Joey Barton,SWP and the loan signing of Man Utd’s 5th choice striker.

I would have thought even an illiterate buffoon such as you would understand how things work in both football and life in general, perhaps you should perhaps do some “Google” research before making yourself look like a bigger twat than you already are.
Warnock was employed as manager of QPR by the previous owners because of his proven ability to get a championship team promoted, the new regime didn’t trust him to take the club further, the payers you mention that he signed all had premiership experience and all have been coveted targets at one time or another by posters on all the Latics message boards.
The reason they have not signed the same calibre of player that City have signed is the same reason the likes of Samuel eto and David villa turned down City, and why many players turn down a move to Wigan, as the stature of a club grows the chance of attracting bigger names increases, even you knew that but why let it get in the way of your vitriolic hatred.

Nobody is disputing the money this club owners have, its more about understanding what running a football club is all about. Although I’m not keen on the pilluk, listen to the interview that Warnock gave after being sacked by Fernandes by e-mail.

Please share with us all what “understanding what running a football club is all about” is there a university that does a degree in this subject? Name me a Chairman or MD that is a world expert in this field and more so what qualification did David Whelan have in this field before he bought Wigan Athletic, as I assume he is your benchmark, the truth is it’s just another piece of bullshit rhetoric talked about by ex pros and journalists and copied by fools to try and legitimise their opinions.

You go on to say your “not keen” on Fernandes because of an interview Warnock gave about the man, I hasten to add a man with a grievance and one who you yourself described in your opening gambit as “second rate manager”, please, please make your mind up.

Like I said lets watch what happens to QPR when this multi, multi millionaire gets bored with his little toy. ;)

Would it be fair to ask, ‘A little like David Whelan has’

Once again LMB gets sucked into debate and is rag dolled by yours truly. As soon as you resort to verbal abuse like calling me a tvvat you’ve as good thrown the towel in sunshine and I hope the mods are monitoring this.
I’ll let other posters make up their minds on who is the buffoon on here. Perhaps you could put your time to better use like penning a relegation song or summert. B)

PS Read my post again and try and find where I said that Fernandes signed Warnock. I actually said allowed him to take up the elm which in football terms means allowed him to manage. example: “Dave Whelan will allow Martinez to take up the elm with Wigan Athletic for season No 8 in the EPL.”

Finally, I still believe Warnock to be a second rate manager, however I strongly believe is that he is not that stupid to come out to the media and say things about Fernandes, that would allow the filthy rich man to engage his filthy rich lawyers and take Warnock to the cleaners, like I do to you time and time again on here.

You need to get a life sunshine. :P

Is that an elm, like an oak or birch ?

“Example:” Perhaps you could tell us where “Dave Whelan will allow Martinez to take up the elm” from.

It must be an anomaly of football where taking up the “elm” means allowing something to continue, in every other walk of life it means what it says “Example:” becoming the one at the Helm ie in charge.

Please don’t get all hurt and wounded by the descriptions I’ve used for you, they pale into insignificance when compared to the little smiley face ones you use to anyone (mainly me)who dares to express an opposite opinion to you.

One last thing you have never ever “rag dolled” anyone on this board other than in your own mind.

Have you any idea how much the owner of QPR is worth?
He could pay every fan that goes to the game instead of charging them, and he’d probably make that money back in interest during the half time team talk!
Money wise he makes Whelan look like bobby bent neck from ince!

The difference between Whelan and Fernandes is that big Dave is a football man in every sense of the word and loves Wigan Athletic. You can’t put a price on that.

Mr Fernandes bought himself QPR for Christmas and like a small child who gets new bike, will soon get bored and want something bigger and better to spend all his airline money on.
I remember reading it somewhere that he sat in the stands wearing a Chelsea scarf at one of his first matches having bought QPR, the pilluk didn’t realise there were other teams in London playing in blue and white.[/quote]

Name or show me one occasion where David Whelan was ever seen or photographed at Springfield Park prior to his take over of the club, as I rememember there are plenty of times when he was pictured/seen at both Central and Ewood Parks.

David Whelan even says in his own biography he was asked by his old friend Jack Walker to join the Blackburn board of directors, history also shows it was some years after the near demise of Wigan Athletic under Freddie Pye that Mr Whelan even contemplated getting involved with the club, not exactly the actions of “a football man in every sense of the word and loves Wigan Athletic

But once again with you why let facts get in the way of bigoted opinion.
