Must be a shagger when your sat on a plane, popping corks and playing on your IPAD, PSP ,DS3d, only to be faced with the gruelling task of 90 minutes of football.
I remember when i was in my 20’s regular having to travel to Scotland to work on a highways , sat in the back of a seatless tranny van with 10 Irish pish’head’s, me , in a yoga position and waft’s of guiness farts filling the air all the way there and back. Then doing 2 x 16 hr shifts on the bonk before travelling back on the Sunday dinner to be back in at 6 on the Monday oh and for 50 quid a day !!.
Victor , next time your at the cash machine check your balance , stand back , and take a reality check m8.
Apparantly following the pow – wow between Messers Whelan and Martinez, little Dave said he didnt realise we had 8 players away on International duty – God help us
From the interview I’ve read where Moses gives that quote it confirms what i thought in that the decision to rest Moses was not one he agreed with or requested but one which Martinez decided on in advance.
Again smacks of a manager thinking too much – the only question should have been “Do you feel up for playing after the midweek game & the travel?” If the answer was yes, play em & if they tire bring them off.
Just like he thinks he can get a team of bargain basement players playing like Barca (instead of playing to their strengths) he thinks he has the strength of squad to be able to “rest” players & still be capable of getting results. Doesn’t seem to be able to learn to cut his cloth accordingly
Fulham had 16 players away on international duty and they tonked Wolves 5-0 ! Pogrebnyak helped himself to a hat-trick and yes he was one who had been away !! Must try harder Bobby !!
They did have an extra day to get over it but they also had 16 of them !! I cant help but think that if we had played on Sunday that the same excuse would have been used had it been the same result !
Tired      Christ almighty a 15hr day is deemed normal in my industry of which im expected to drive for 10 of them somedays.Did he fly the fookin plane?.

Looks like Martinez is here for years in my view -another Dario-he has it all stitched up!
Listening to the radio tonight and i heard that two young players from crisis club Port Vale couldnt even afford to put petrol in their cars last saturday to get to Accy Stanley.
Some of these players need a reality check such as that -disgrace!
An interesting post on another website re the travelling debate, posted regarding Dave’s comments, that he didn’t realise we had 8 players away.
“silly old duffer he really hasn’t got a clue has he. Yes they did have some players away on international duty but so did the swans. Luckily 3 of ours were playing at home and only went to Cardiff but one of ours travelled a bit further. He travelled from swansea to iceland to montenegro and back, a round trip of some 30 hours. Guess what dave his name is sigurdsson and he scored the two winning goals. Wake up and smell the coffee old man your club is doomed”
OK, tin hat is on here, but I’m just going to play Devil’s Advocate here for a minute because, in general, this “footballers being tired” mularky gets on my paps as much as it does everyone else’s.
However, there may be an argument for saying that a lot of this is relative. For example, I’m not sure how far the Swansea and Fulham international players travelled and when they returned compared to Moses who travelled to deepest darkest Africa and, I believe, only arrived home very late on Friday night.
So, although £12-15k per week should enable you to be physically able to play the following afternoon, perhaps compared to his fellow squad members and members of the opposition, he may not have been as fit and prepared as he would normally be for a Premier league game. I accept, however, that the way he plays, it may be quite difficult to tell.
when i was he’s age i could ,do a 12 hr Fri shift 6-6 ,rush home shite/shower/shave , then on the lash till 2-3 , get up for a sat 8-1 O.T shift ,watch the tics and do the bender ,oh and belt out a couple.
Moses has only just made the decision to play for Nigeria , why didnt he put this off till the end of the season ,just like signing a new contract.Just shows how much staying up means to him he’s not arsed 1 bit.
Tired ..? Other teams had players away too .That excuse is a feeble attempt to disguise the obvious truth.Looks to me like some players play like they’ve been on international duty every week for 3 seasons !
